Anyone hunt brown bears?
Looking for a source of brown bear hair for jigs. Small scraps would work I just can't find any. Figured I would ask to see if anyone hunts for them or know a taxidermist. Allen

Frogg colors
Never found a frog color that didn't work? Like all topwaters though I generally use something with a white or black belly. Best frog for me has been the Zoom Horney Toad GP over pearl white. Allen

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Swore I would not buy anything but bullet weights and line this year. Fell off the wagon and spent about $300 in the past two days. Started innocently with looking around the internet for some Hayabusa shooting star jigs that then snowballed out of control. Allen

Night time bass help
Best night bait for me is a black spinnerbait with a Colorado blades. If the water is clear and the moon provides light daytime baits work. Allen

River guys - which do you use most this time of year, Vision 110, 110 + 1 or Junior +1?
Smaller baits work better for me with colder water. Try the LC Pointer 78dd in whatever color that looks good to you. Allen

Stupid tube
You have to bend a 30 degree wacky rig jig hook to 60 degree to fit into the mold. That's how I made the stupid heads for this 2.5" tube. Allen

Those who don't use a plastic trailer with a spinnerbait...
Same here, I am not good with chatterbaits though. Allen

Duo Realis jerkbaits
Anyone fish the Duo Realis SP jerkbaits? Saw one on Ebay that caught my eye. Bait is a 100mm silent suspending model. I am a huge fan of silent suspending baits. Allen

2025 plans
They were popular 15-20 years ago for the Potomac and Susky. Brooks Marine in Chambersburg, PA use to sell them. Allen

Bigger bass in the winter
Around here bear hair jigs with the pork trailer (If you can find them) are what work in cold >40 degree water. For the river you need to find their wintering holes where they stack up. I don't catch many fish but the ones I do are usually the biggest SM I catch all year. For example the last year I fished a winter tournament I had 17-4 and my best summer weight was 9-2 five fish limit. Allen

How many posts do you need to get to the top rank here?
I see I am 8/9 and remember seeing something on here stating how many posts until the next rank. Can't seem to find it now for some reason. Allen

2025 plans
17.5' River Rave with a 90/65 that I am building an aluminum console for. Swapping out the wood on the decks with aluminum as well. This will be my starter jetboat to see if I like it enough to upgrade to a River Rocket. Allen

Shallow flatside crankbaits with round lips
Guy from Ohio showed me how to fish them using the original Dbait. Called it "worming a crankbait " which is where you finesse crank it through cover without banging into everything like a square bill. Allen

2025 plans
Bought a jetboat back in September that I am rebuilding into what I want. Plan is to fish shallow parts of the Potomac and Susky. Build is currently on hold because my welder broke his arm but it should still be ready by March. Another goal is to sell a ton of tackle I will never use. Allen

Are Megabass jerkbaits really king or is it a confidence thing?
Jerkbaits are the one bait that you have to carry a bunch of. The bass always seem to want a particular bait that day. Overall I do best on LC Pointers than anything else. The Vision 110 works great some days but not others. The 110 Jr has worked the best for me out of the MB line. Last year I picked up some 110+1 Jr's to try. Allen

Why not Cabelas?
Prices are higher and I just like TW better. Now I do stop in one store once a year when we visit relatives and pick up some things. Honestly besides line and some bullet weights I have everything I need to fish for several years. Allen

Different Spinnerbait Blade Combinations
Most 2 part epoxy yellows quickly so use Devcon 2 ton 30 minute as it will not yellow. In a pinch for clear you can use Sally Hansen Hard as Nails fingernail polish (2 or 3 coats depending on thickness). All the other info about blade and spacing variables is just trial and error. There was a company that use to sell a spinnerbait kit like what you are creating. If I remember correctly they were called Secret Weapon? Allen
