  1. I would definately take 2 LC over the Megabass. Ghost minnow, pearl ayu and baitfish silver are my colors. Allen
  2. Wrapping the jigs with thread would be a personal preference? Usually jigs do not last long enough for me to wrap them with thread? I just make them with the rubber collars and lately I have been using 24 guage wire to tie them down behind the rubber collars. Allen
  3. Use the rubber skirt collars to but the skrt on first then use thread or wire it is a lot easier. Allen
  4. Haven't tried it out yet I am spending a loy of time pouring drop shot minnows. Allen
  5. I use powdercoat from Caswell and have not noticed any difference in durabilty between it and Pro Tec. Allen
  6. They are the ones on the page where you ask the pros questions can anyone identify it? Allen
  7. For heavier weights like 1.5oz they are nice and compact which helps. Personally I can feel the difference when contacting the bottom but not enough to justify the cost difference. Now if Tru-Tungsten wants to sponsor me or the price drops about 50% I would use them. Allen
  8. Use the same colored jig as the soft plastics you are confident in. Solid black works everywhere I have fished for murky water. Just about anything can be used as a trailer. Grubs work best on swimming jigs Allen

Nice! I find that around here those bright colors are walleye magnets. Where can I get some of those lure stands? Allen

I see different size dots in the background Now I think I have your secret for painting eyes on the bait. Allen
  11. By the time you saw her, she saw you 10 minutes ago and will not bite. Make a mental note of where the fish is a return. Make a long cast with a finesse worm and you may catch her? Allen
  12. For jigs that have the bulkiest profile you cannot beat the ones the Earthworm77 sells at micromunch tackle. They are hydrosilk or something like that? But for murky conditions they cannot be beat. I own just about every color silicone, round and flat rubber but for black flipping jigs his skirts are all I use. Allen
  13. Both work but when making jigs silicone is easier. Allen

Daiichi death traps in size 4 or 6 depending on the bait. Allen
  15. I used the one that looks like a bullet to make my flateye mold accept straight eye hooks. Allen

Shad rap RS suspend and can be fished like a jerkbait. Allen
  17. Hare jigs unless you live in FL where you just throw topwaters! Allen
  18. The skirt expander from Naked bait co. just arrived today This weekend I plan on making some more sunfish skirts to try it out. Allen
  19. Don't eat yellow snow! Allen
  20. Eakins jig or the similar one made by Booyah. The problem I had learning jigs is that I started off disadvantaged. Don't worry about or use what KVD or the "pros" are using. Get yourself some 1/4 or 5/16oz finesse jigs like the Eakins in a color you are confident in along with some trailers. I am sure the Eakins craw trailer works but I have always used a Zoom super chunk jr or similar Yum craw. The smaller lighter bait in a confident color will catch you fish and after awhile when your confidence and skill have improved then try the full sized versions. If for some reason you cannot find a color that you like contact me and I will make you some as I have close to 100 different skirt colors. Allen

BDS 1.2 is a great finesse crank for clear water but if I could only get one LC crank it would be the BPS RC 1.5. That lure is a fish catching machine! As far as the CB001 a Mann's baby 1- will outfish it all day long. Allen
  22. My opinion is they have become so popular that the fish are use to seeing them? They do not work as well for me but I still use them. This year a GP finesse worm outfished all senkos by like 4 to 1 and I still have the same bag I started the year with. Allen
  23. I was guessing a candle too as a Bic lighter does not leave any soot. There are several things you can use to heat up the lead to paint it. I use one of those grill lighters that has a trigger and about a 10" neck to heat the baits up. Once the baits are powder coated I use a small toaster oven that I bought at Big Lots for $9 to cure them. Now I has a heat gun that I plan on experimenting with for multiple colors on a spinnerbait. Allen
  24. I used some of the galvanized building a wooden crankbait and it rusted on me. Now I did like the black wire but the smallest size they had was 20 guage. Allen
  25. Where did you get your wire? I have been looking for some copper wire but all I find is green. Allen
