  1. Mudhole has some great online videos that show how to find the spine, wrap guides, etc. it just doesn't show how to pick parts. I guess I need to get a set of metric calipers. Allen
  2. I usually just end up painting my fingers. :-[ Allen
  3. I thought that you could only carry 60 days leave? I guess the command is making exceptions to the rules. Usually I was in the hole with leave Glad to see when you post because I know what it means when they shut off your internet access. Allen
  4. http://www.caswellplating.com/powder/index.html Check out the link they have a lot of different colors. Allen
  5. Be careful of rabbits! ;D Allen
  6. I have my blanks, guides, cork all ordered and have watched the mudhole and Flexcoat videos. My question is how do you determine reel seat size? Fuji makes like 50 exposed blank reel seats so I have no idea what to order :-/. Do you measure the blank where the reel seat will be? Fuji lists all these diameters so it is confusing. Allen
  7. Do you get any additional leave for doing a combat tour? Allen

Wish the cranks I made looked that good? Allen
  9. I just glue the weedguards in after the jig is powdercoated. Allen
  10. I bake my jigheads in a small toaster oven I bought at Big Lots for $9. Allen
  11. Green pumkin and smokin shad (I think that is what it is called) work the best for me. Allen
  12. Forgot hooks? www.captainhooksdiscountwarehouse.com is the cheapest place I have found to get hooks. Allen
  13. Let me answer these questions as best as I can? Books- There is one on tacklemaking called the complete book of tacklemaking or something? I have a copy that you can borrow just pay for the shipping. Rods- I am just getting ready to start so I am not much help. Molds- Do-It molds from Barlows work well and can be easily modified to accept any hooks with a dremel. Hydrosilk skirts check with Earthworm77 at micromunch tackle he has them in natural colors and he had some made for me in pumkinseed so get with him. I make my own jigs and spinnerbaits but I am starting to work on rods and crankbaits. Allen

    Thanks! Allen
  16. Most productive this year either a Zoom green pumkin finesse worm or a 4" Kinami flash watermelon. Favorite way to fish is anything fast because deadsticking baits is about as fun as watching paint dry but it does produce. Allen
  17. Here are some baits I made using painted blades, booyah heads and skirts that I made to match. Shot with DiMAGE E500 at 2007-10-12 Allen
  18. RC 1.5 is my best crankbait this year. Allen
  19. I have been trying to perfect a good bluegill colored skirt for over a year. Right now I have about a dozen different versions and most usually end up looking like firetiger. This winter I will perfect a bluegill spinnerbait but my airbrush setup needs to be repaired so I can paint the heads. Allen
  20. I keep checking my mailbox but none have arrived for me? Allen
  21. How about making some basstrix baits that do not cost $37 a pack? > Allen
  22. How do you plan on fishing them? Blakemore and swimming hornet both make a jighead that has a swivel and blade attached underneath. Allen

Catt, Who has them on sale right now? I am looking at getting another all black one for any passengers I may have. Allen
  24. Yes, that is how I fish shad raps but instead of a hard jerk just use a pulling motion on the rod. Allen
  25. The gunnish outfishes all other walking baits for me. It has a more frantic action as opposed to the smooth side to side motion of a spook or sammy. Lucky craft just seems to outfish the other topwaters and this year 90% of the time I was using the gunnish 95 or the g-splash 65. Allen
