Things I have found out about Devcon: Read the front of the package 30 minute epoxy only has a 15-20 minute working time. Use a metal paperclip to stir with and my equally (very important or else it will harden too quick or still be sticky two weeks later). Devcon can be thinned with denatured alcohol just use a tiny amount (I suggest a small plastic syringe from the dollar store). If you want to use Devcon that takes longer than 30 minutes to dry remember to rotate the bait so that excess epoxy does not build up on the lowest point of the bait. Allen

Not sure about the removal of the old paint part? But, just about any paint can be used to re-paint them if you use Devcon 2ton epoxy over it. Allen

I think I lost a 8+ lb fish last year using one on his muscle craw trailers? That day the largest bass I have ever hooked in my life threw my jig at the side of my boat and there was quite a bit of profanity heard that day on the lake. Allen

How to make skirts out of loose strands=lay all the strands together lining up one end, pinch all the strands together then wrap them with masking tape, wrap one end in masking tape to a point and you will be able to roll a new collar on without any tools. This is not the fastest way but it works and requires no tools other than about 6" of masking tape. Allen

Then they will not work as well? Buy a lure retriever or two and cast them into the nastiest places you can find. You would probably flinch if you saw some of the places I cast a $27 megabass jerkbait? (trust me a lure retriever will pay for itself in about 5 hours of fishing) If you do not fish where the fish are that wonderfully expensive bait will not work as well as the guy casting a $2 Wal-Mart jerkbait where the fish actually are. I have to admit I am addicted to jerkbaits! It is a toss up between jerkbaits and spinnerbaits as to my true love but seeing as they seem to work in different seasons I will say both. Honestly I have at least 1 or 2 of every jerkbait made? I search ebay and every other site I can find for new jerkbaits that I have to have because I am addicted to them. :-/ When you start downloading Japanese translation software so you can try and order jerkbaits then your problem is on the level with me? While I may not be as popular as Roadwarrior I will say this, in the fall there is no jerkbait I would rather have tied on than a LC slender pointer 97mr in ghost minnow. I caught 123 fish one day using this bait in September and it will always have a place in my tackle box. From my experience pointer 78 and 100sp work better in the spring and the slender pointers work better in the fall but do not take this as gospel only a starting point. Allen

Yes, I know that I have a tackle problem but I am working on it and as long as I sell more tackle than I buy I am making progress. I leave them in their original bags if I can clearly see what they are or switch to clear bags. Now I take all similar baits like lizards, senkos, etc and put them in a clear 1gallon ziplock freezer bag. This is the best system to carry the most soft plastics in the least amount of space. Allen

You get reward points from MBNA (now part of BOA) for everything you buy just not as high a rate as with BPS stuff. I charge stuff all the time then pay it off with cash right away just to get the points. So far I have charged a Yukon, motorcycle, even a speeding ticket and received reward points. We are going to use the card to pay for our new kitchen which should give me enough points for a GLoomis rod. Allen

I have one that I bought from Dayooper on TU but rarely use it. If you are doing a lot of jigheads it is nice but if I am only paint a few jigs I do not even use it. Allen

Most of the time I am using a 1/4 or 3/8oz white or shad colored jig with a matching 4" single tail grub. The way I fish them is just like a spinnerbait and like someone else mentioned they are a great alternative to spinnerbaits in highly pressured lakes. Allen
