  1. Most of us have been there and done that and I am sure we all remember what you are feeling, lol. Don't worry, women have been giving birth for years. I am happy for you. It is one of the most wonderful experiences you will ever have, congrats. I remember I was Mr. Cool and through the whole thing I was like it was no big deal. I was all prepared and the morning my wife was in the shower and called out calmly, my water just broke, I came completely unglued, lol. I was a freakin wreck. I will always treasure that day of seeing my son coming into the world, what a beautiful experience. Enjoy.
  2. Wow, 72 reads and only 4 Scots. I guess we are getting rare as time goes on. I know most of my family is gone. I miss hearing the Gaelic talk. I can' t even hardly write Gaelic anymore well, its not the traditional Gaelic but, the lowland Celtic. I guess three generations has all but wiped out our family culture, to a extent.
  3. You know Redline. It amazes me about the life you live. Speaking only for myself I think its great. I am sure you have worked hard to get where you are in life. I have read a lot of your post and never really took what you said as bragging, I took it that you were excited, like when you bought your Ranger. You always seemed alright in my book. I say, you go boy!
  4. Thats quite a gesture to have a replica made for the lad. Guys like you give our sport a good name. Keep us posted. This story keeps getting better.
  5. Although I just started fly fishing for bass early last year, from what I have caught I think a 7wt is perfect.
  6. Flipping for green bass, a four or five inch black/red flake or green pumpkin tube, 4/0 Gammy G-Lock Hook with either a 1/8 or 1/4 pegged bullet wt. Tubing for brown bass, from 1/16-1/4 jighead I use both of these setups with a rattle inserted.
  7. I don't know. The last month the water has had a foot of ice frozen over it and when I throw any bait it just slides.
  8. Wow, that blows. I hope they get it taken care of before any other pets suffer.

Yes, it has been brutal but, I think Glenn is doing everything in his power to sort things out.
  10. Thanks Avid, I will look forward to your updates. As far as US Air, don't get me started. I know that all airlines have problems from time to time but, out of the three times I booked with that outfit, there was always some kind of incident with a bunch of BS included. I dislike that service. I have other family and friends whom have had the same problems with ol' " Five O'clock Charlie " as I like to call that outfit. I hope they got some money back and booked a flight with a real airline, lol.
  11. Poor guy. That blows big time. I hope he is not on that airport show that shows the disgruntled, aggressive and drunk passengers. Maybe he can be the guy bailing the 1 oz spinnerbaits at everyone,LOL. I do however feel for him.
  12. When you start pouring them I will take 500 Dark Melon/Purple and Red flake in 31/2 & 4 inch, lol.
  13. I just wanted to know how the guys that went to Fork are doing and was looking for a sticky for updates, where do I look?
  14. I thought you might find this interesting timmyswetarded. Your faimlie name is like most that comed frae Scotland, sorry, in Anglic then, your name is derived from a Gaelic/Latin and means " Devotee of St. Columbia ", it was the name of the Kings of Scotland and was Mael Caluim. Here is your faimlie crest:
  15. Good job. It is easier with a spinning reel. It will be a great tactic when they are way back under the docks. Its fun as well. Glad you are learning, keep it up. The more confidence you have in yourself the better fisherman you will become.
  16. I had some Irish friends when I was a kid. My Aunts were not so bad about us playing ball with them but, in my little town you were either Protestant or Catholic and the older folks did not like us playing together. Its funny now, but, it really was that way. My Mom was not so bad about it but, my Aunts would go beserk if I mingled with " them " too much, lol. Its funny how things can change in just a few generations. I don't even think of that sort of prejudice anymore.
  17. Aye, thats a good one !
  18. Both sides of my family came from Scotland ( Blair/ Stevenson ) from my great grandparents up. We were very traditional when I was a kid but, that has waned somewhat as time goes by. Anyone else Scottish? .....and if you are... Baith seids of ma faimlie comed frae Scotland ( Blair/Stevenson ), frae ma great grandparents up. We war very tradeetional whan a wis a wean but, that haes waned as tid goes by. Anybody ense Scottish? Even though our Clan was of two our strongest crest is the Clan below:
  19. Welcome, you will learn a lot.
  20. Welcome, you will learn a lot.
  21. Powerman70, do you really think there is a need to shoot a dog with bird shot? I wish you would reconsider this tactic my friend. JMO. :-?
  22. Like that bunch of Yo-yo's has any validity left. We can't hook a fish and put it back but, its OK to inject poison into 1.000's of dogs and cats and throw them into a dumpster. PETA, if any of you read this I say, Shhhoooosh, talk to the hand.
