  2. I just buy what i have confidence in- (Large quantities that is). Something new and unproven to me one at a time if I don't like it often times I give it away... Currently I am in a jig mode I really have confidence in them and really like a certain kind so I bought 30 of them- LOL

"guhh-Ross keella": How many times did he said that???? LOL
  4. disposible income or mental illness- possibile combination of the two-
  5. LC staysee and pointers
  6. Good stuff- I have all that GYCB gear just have to try it has trailers-
  7. You have got to get some trick worms, they are awesome and can be fished a variety of ways using the 6"ers- I like them on a shakey head 1/8 to 3/8oz. I have even drop shotted them 1/8 to 3/8oz with a gamakatsu drop shot hook 1/0. Not my favorite way but my dad really likes to carolina rig them- 3/8 to 3/4oz w/ a glass bead and carolina stopper 12 to 18" of leader usually and fished with a 3/0 gammy EWG hook. He really likes junebug color
  8. Nice- I have been doing a lot of jig fishing myself and experimenting with trailers- gotta give them a try. I read somewhere how Natural really liked them. They look really good. So far I have been having my best luck with a eakins 3/8oz and a reaction innovations smallie beaver as a trailer-
  9. did you mean who? how? I are smarted wita egimacadgion learned a good deal
  10. Layers no more than 3 make sure you can move- and WEAR A VERY GOOD LIFE JACKET- with all the clothing on you are an anchor if you make it overboard. I agree with RW bibs over pants. Here is what I wear and I live in Idaho!!! Under Armour top and bottom, fleece socks, hooded sweatshirt and jeans, bibs and coat(fleece liner in coat if I feel I need it), motocross slip on gloves/snowmobile gloves when piloting the boat, and shoes/boots(again depending on how cold it is)- I try not to wear big boots if possible because of how awkward it is to move in a boat but hey when it is really cold there is nothing worse than cold feet- choose wisely.
  11. Reading this and all the replies made me laugh- I feel dumber now
  12. The flappin' Hawg looks good- don't mean to hi-jack but how do you like it RW?
  13. just know to NEVER sell yourself short on good clothing gear! I make sure I am as comfortable as possible when fishing! I hate it when I am out on the water and my co-angler is whining about how cold it is because he did not dress well enough. I had to go back early one tournament- NEVER again LOL welcome to the freezer ya jackass!!! LOL
  14. before I would use a 3" senko I would fish a small finess worm- like a 3.5 to 4" drop shot worm. I have tried those little senkos and they do not have good action they are to small(the ends don't wiggle as much compared to the larger ones) and do not have the favorable characteristics the big brothers do- for senkos I fish the 4"ers on up.
  15. Yeah as far as jig fishing goes I am thinking about upping the line to 12 or 15 myself- you have such good feedback with a jig I think a heavier line will be more of a safe guard than a detriment. My line frays a lot when crawling along rocky bottoms.
  16. So yeah for your open water jig fishing- (not flipping into cover), what kind of line are you guys using? Brand, pound test, type(Flouro,Co-poly,Mono,Braid/leader)? I have been using 10lb cabelas brand flourocarbon-
  17. I 2nd that- I had (2) 1,000yd spools of flouro in my spooling station which is in my rod locker of the boat- Had the line there all summer long and it remained the same as it was out of the original packaging it is nice to keep it in the boat I really like that. Mono I do not use much and keep it in a cool spot at home in the house.
  18. hmmm.... might aid in my smallmouth fishing
  19. my boat! Skeeter ZX250 with 300HPDI Yamaha pushing me to my favorite spots
  20. keep in mind the yo-zuri lines are a tad on the thicker(diameter) and are under rated strength wise(#test). There 6# is much like other's 8#. Good line especially for the price
  21. from that particular list I would go with the kistler
  22. This year I have learned to fish a jig- I am a believer in the Eakins 3/8oz jig- great bait
  23. an old school abu garcia fiberglass rod with a quantum all plastic spinning reel that sounded like a pepper grinder when I cranked it- dang I still rember that combo- my dad bought it for me and I fished with it for a long time-
  24. Hey I hear ya- true that! I try and limit the confusion depending on the area I am fishing not everything comes with me that is for sure!!!
  25. Well stick with what you know and are confident with . You will never catch me with only 4 colors of plastics. 3 crankbait colors and a white/chartruse spinnerbait-
