  1. no matter the color- you will always have better success if you match the color of what they eat or see as a threat during spawning/guarding fry- you may be limiting yourself using only colors that you have- especially when you fish multiple fisheries. For example- KVD he loves spinnerbaits but do see him only using white/chartruse? Nope he carries many spare parts/colors and matches the baitfish as best as possible-
  2. dude has one heck of an arsenal- if they were guns the ATF would have him behind bars LOL!!! Nice gear Redline!!!
  3. what is your favorite spinnerbait (brand, size, color, blades)? I have been looking at a few but need some more ideas... I will narrow it down a bit and say not muddy water or at nite time.
  4. i use them all except Chompers- that crapola is just cruel and unusual punishment!!! nasty stuff anything it is around will smell like it for a very long time very unpleasant stuff-
  5. simply retarded- just think of how many other things you could get!
  6. I too prefer my daiwas/shimanos over my quantums- not saying the quantum is a bad reel just my preference .
  7. I have quantum spinning reels pti 20's kenetic and catalyst and they are very nice- a bit heavy but very smooth and durable. I own a tour PT casting rod and it is very nice- I got it for my tour PT burner reel for fishing rattle traps- nice combo. It is good stuff you will like it- especially if you get it for a good price.
  8. spinning gear! m to ml action- extra fast taper rod 6'6" to 7'6" line- flouro 4 to 8lb test(tie polomar knot to hook with 6" to 18" of leader to wieght) varies experiment bait- finesse worm(usually 3 to 6in long) with drop shot hook size 1 to 2/o weight(I like mojo drop shot wieghts) no need for swivel it is part of the wieght. These are VERY basic drop shot guidelines-
  9. Gross! LOL I bet it works tho
  10. braid on everything is a bit excessive- you will be selling yourself short on a variety of techniques
  11. I do a lot of smallmouth bass fishing- and a jig works well with a single tail grub for that application.
  12. I put mine in a plano with the dividers- one jig per slot. I also use those inhibitor VCI chips that absorb moisture, worked really well for me this year. Just put a couple stips in each box and that will keep your hooks from rusting. Mind you, remove the already rusted hooks from your box they are pretty much a done deal

I have one and love it- kinda feels like you are wearing a helmet but dosent take up as much space when you don't need it- I keep mine in the boat at all times- nice thing to have for rain and or cold days.
  14. very funny- but I am in love with that reel!!!! Very nice- I have that handle on my scorpion 1001mg- I like the cork paddles I need to get some
  15. great tubes you should give them a try- www.drycreekoutfitters.com/ especially you guys back east where the fish have never seen them
  16. There is a lot of truth to that RW- when in doubt just go with what they came with. I have had quite an increase in fish landed on a lipless bait due to hook upsizing this year-
  17. They say go as big as you can without getting them tangled with each other and/or mess up the action of the bait- I go bigger especially on lipless traps. Usually you can get away with one size larger hooks.
  18. So yeah lets hear it- brand, color and size. Also the technique used with it- like jigged or pitched ect.
  19. This reel looks amazing especially for 69.99, a Daiwa 7:1!!! it's probly not out yet but dang- what a deal- I am also sure it is not made of the same quality as the high end Daiwa's but it sure looks nice!
  20. I have the PT tour edition burner 7:1- It is a very nice reel... not a lot of use with it yet but it seems to perform quite well. I use it for my rat'l'traps. A bit on the heavy side it my only complaint.
  21. what he said- I have most all of the crawdad colors of the newer(not the old old school) "original wiggle wart series"- the red craw- brown craw- green craw- great baits. I also have the chug bug- perch is my favorite color.
  22. clear... some will say red like that shakespere cajon line- I'd stick with regular clear
  23. If tournament money is not on the line use them again see what happens-
  24. It is a sad day when a trusty bait passes on... :'(
