Assingmnet:line 'em, pair 'em, lure 'em.
I saw it by the time i decided it was sold. I even thinking of getting Daiwa Ardito reel(fuego)

Need help diameter of Izorline #4???
@WRBI think so but they still sell both xxx and first string. I use this line mostly for trout on my CT50 and I caught 23lb carp with this line. @new2BC4bassreally appreciate it. A few would be good so I can prepare for your purple alphas when you are ready to transfer to me ?.

Need help diameter of Izorline #4???
Thks a lot. Mine is first string but they should be the same. Btw I have another question for you, if you don't mind. My airy red pixy also come with brand new Ray's shallow spool. I have read somewhere that to use pixy spool in Alphas I would need spacer (33mm vs 31mm). I don't think I need shallow spool for pixy, so I might sell it off later or use that spool with my Alphas 105(I ordered Gliss 18lb line for it) I've read somewhere that you used to make a spacer for it, do you know where I can find it now and would it work with DIY spool?

Baitcasters; Right vs Left handed retrieve...
I from started alway right hand retrieve but lately I've tried to use both right hand and left hand retrieve on bait caster. I have found that your dominant hand might be better off cranking the reel instead of just moving/holding the rod. Sometime you will need to crank fast/super fast or steady slow winch which your dominant hand would perform better than other. I admit that my right hand might help moving the lure(walking/twisting) better than left but that is only technique all other techniques don't require precise movement. I'd rather put my dominant hand on the reel where I'd use the most when bringing the fish in.

Need help diameter of Izorline #4???
Anyone have any idea which diameter of Izorline #4? I found some left from long long time ago but there is no indicator on spool. I plan to use this line for pixy airy red but not sure if I have enough to fill the spool (6lbs ~ 80 yds). Any recommend on the line for pixy? I only have #6 Hybrid and 6lbs Vanish line as of now.

Odd Lure Weights, Need Help Trying To Decipher
You guys are funny and this is just fishing. @ghostSo far I only use one odd weight 5/32 but this one is pretty easy to figure out, 5/32 heavier that 1/8(4/32) but not quite 1/4(8/32). You can compare to known weight like 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8 and 3/4. your weight 2/3(x3 =6/9) is lighter than 3/4(6/8) but heavier than 5/8. another 3/5 (x2=6/10) which tougher but for sure heavier than 1/2 may be closer to 5/8. This is just scratch on the surface, wait until you venture to other side where they show lure weight in Grams and try to covert to oz. I've been shopping for Lure which shown gram for the past 6 months and still don't remember what 5 grams compare to. This case you have to use both google and calculator lol. @BurrowsI definitely getting that one. Last time I asked my iPhone, Siri told me to speak better English ?.

Catch rate hard vs soft
It is also depend, as bank angler I feel that I would loose hardbait the same rate as I catch bass. The only exception is top water or sub surface lures. I also don't know how to find fish on my boat or kayak so deep diving is absolutely out.

Never caught anything on a crankbait :( anyone else ?
Can I say that I never caught any fish on crank bait? ?

Daiwa Alphas SV, Pixy Airy Red and aldebaran MG7
Thx @OCdockskipperyou know what every time I caught a bass near light house I always check if they are spots I even told my buddy to check the same especially the one that fight harder.

Daiwa Alphas SV, Pixy Airy Red and aldebaran MG7
Tom, I think so that what @OCdockskipperconfirmed. I tried at the light house area a few times but so far have not seen one. I plan to fish small lures in hope of catching crappies someday.

Daiwa Alphas SV, Pixy Airy Red and aldebaran MG7
@BaitFinesse I plan for 1/8oz jerkbait, shallow crank, rapala count down and most importantly Jr Fluke and regular Fluke. You are right about backbone, the Majorcraft got plenty of backbone which I need when fishing with Fluke Jr. My Daiwa spinmatic is also trout rod with very wimpy top and no backbone.

Daiwa Alphas SV, Pixy Airy Red and aldebaran MG7
Thks Tom, I'm not into BFS stuff so I should be okay with Majorcraft Go Emotion 652L. I also have 2 of Shimano rod that can handle 1/8oz quite well. Worst come to worst I'll pair with my old Daiwa spinmatic UL and fish for bluegill instead lol.

Daiwa Alphas SV, Pixy Airy Red and aldebaran MG7
I might clean up my Sahara 750 and use it again one of these day. I hope rusted not get into the reel since I have not use it for at least 2-3 years lol.

Daiwa Alphas SV, Pixy Airy Red and aldebaran MG7
Thks @BaitFinesse This I wanna hear and also thanks for not mentioned any of BS BFS Lol. I know I can get shallow spool for both my Alphas and Aldebaran and get it done, but I'd rather have a reel that work as it intended to. I think next season I'll bank fish more and more so my option is really limited to Finesse stuffs. I can cast 1/8 - 3/16oz with all my reels (SV105, alde, scorpion70) but I only got about 50' max.

Daiwa Alphas SV, Pixy Airy Red and aldebaran MG7
Last time I used spinning I cast into tree most of the time lol.

Which one handle 1/8oz lure better? Better mean controlling and also distance.

Taking it to the bank
I have boat and kayak but this year I bank fish a lot, more than 90% I guess. I normally fish for only couple hours after work and taking boat or kayak out I know I would be in water longer than that. It is so much easier for me to just hop the banks, and luckily where I live got plenty of accessible shoreline. I normally carry only 1 setup but I can backpack 2 more if I wanted too and still got hand free. I fish everything while bank fishing but I would limited to only 1-2 techniques each trip (mostly Fluke lol)

Drop Shot and Punching
I don't do punching but drop shot quite a bit on weedy area. Just like @Cattmentioned try to work your lure as vertical as possible. If you find a hole or weed line that would be the best spot to work your plastic. I would leave my tag end long enoug that my worm stay on top of weed. I don't drag/work my lure back to me but instead pitch/cast to a hole, work for 10-15 sec move a little bit to feel any weed around. If I feel snag I just lift my rod tip and reel it back. In this case the smallest weedless hook is a must, I use #2 Gamakatsu EWG hook or #1 Roboworm rebarb hook. Also I use smallest profile Worm like finesse or trick worm. I use normally 3/16oz pencil weight. If top of weed is deep enough, I also find wacky weightless small worm yield a pretty good result 3-4" Senko, Roboworm Ned Worm and Finesse worm.

Baitcaster worm gear
I use grease on all low profile reels worm gear.

Line for Chatterbait fishing
#10 Hybrid line or 12lb big game line, don't see the need of bigger line than this, maybe becuz I caught only dinks.

Anyone got a good budget baitcast reel they like?
This one? Too bad if the accent color is red I would buy 2-3 more. Anyhow I plan to get one more when next sale come. My take on the SLX is pretty decent if you look pass that feeling of cheap black matte. The casting is just okay (compare to 70 and bantam) just like old VBS system where I have 2 on 4 off and spool tension pretty loose. The drag is okay but I can upgrade to cabbon drag pretty cheap. It feel more solid that those of Abu Blackmax but at double the cost. The most important part and why I bought this reel is size and comfort. I can never find a reel that small and comfort to palm like Shimano. Daiwa Fuego is huge and heavy I don't mind those for moving bait but anything else that required a lot of shaking/twisting SLX win hand down. To OP the best of me might not be your and the cheapest might not be the best option. Buying a reel just like small investment, you want the reel that suit you and last you for a long time and still hold some value when you wanna trade up.

Daiwa Tatula 100 vs. curado K
It doesn't really matter if he is one of Shimano fanboy, but I guess his video help me made my decision faster to buy some of the Shimano reels. I dont take his distance casting test as main reason, tho. In real life fishing, we don't have time to dial in and adjust the brake just like he did on some of video with every lures, and also line size could be a big factor along with shape of lure, not just pain casting plug or lipless crank. Back to OP topic, if you have budget I would get that tatula 100 to compliment your curado K not compete. This way you will know you like Centrifuges brake off Shimano or easiness of adjustable magnetic brake. Me I like smoothness of Daiwa and color scheme, but i like Shimano in casting distance and comfort to palm of small size reel.
