Loomis JWR 892S - for Ned Rigs?
thank you

First time in over 10 years....
I use Siege on spinning gear without issues but i would say its probably not quite as limp as XL, however, in my experience it is much stronger when tied with a palomar knot than XL is.

Which knob style do you generally prefer on a spinning reel?
I'm the same as this.

First time in over 10 years....
I use Sufix Siege mono for everything. from 4 pound on my UL setup to 20 pound on my musky rig. I love mono and it loves me.

Tips For Reducing "Wind Knots" With Light Braid ?
for me, I kept getting it using 10 pound Sufix 832 braid, so I went back to mono. no issues at all. in hind site if I had gone with a heavier braid (20 pound 832??) it might have been perfect.

Mono Users: Green, Camo, or Clear?
I use Sufix Siege which comes in a really cool smoke green color.

New Main Line You Want To Try Next ?
no I think Big Game is fine on Baitcasters, its just not that great on spinning gear. I use siege on both types of reels. Siege is better but it is also more expensive. 1000 yard spools of siege i think are $30 or so not $7 like Big Game.

New Main Line You Want To Try Next ?
I really like the Sufix Siege mono i have been using the past few years in pound tests from 4 all the way up to 20. its great. As strong as Big Game but handles 10x better. you can use it on spinning gear no problem

Is there anything that compares to the Shimano Nasci at the $100 price point?
not sure if they lost the rights to the symmetre name because it is back this year as part of a combo from Shimano. no idea if they will be as good as the old symmetre reels though

How To Remove A Backlash
To be fair, i don't own a boat so most of my fishing is casting from shore where its an easy overhand long distance cast. Im not flipping and pitching or throwing under docks etc. So thats probably why i never backlash, if I was doing other things I'm sure i would be. But open water casting is very easy never to backlash.

How To Remove A Backlash
the best way to avoid a backlash is to get used to your reels. I haven't had a backlash in years. the odd loose loop yes, backlash no.

2-pcs casting rod for Tournament MP under $100.
just a suggestion, if you open up your ideas for one piece you will have a million more options, 2 piece casting rods are not easy to come buy, there will only be a few out on the market. for 1 piece there are hundreds. Any reason why it has to be 2 piece?

St. Croix Avid Series Spinning 7’ Medium VS G. Loomis E6X Spinning Rod 7' Med 842S SJR
I would go for the E6X although both are great. , as long as its 2018 generation (the first generation E6 were not that great in some models, the second generation are way better). The taper on the SJR842 Loomis is one that I think alot of others try to emulate. I would get it based on the taper alone. I have the 2018 JWR 892S E6X and its amazing, i can't see why the SJR842 would be any less.

Curado 300 is here.
Very nice! i have the tranx 400A and its amazing but i would definitely consider this as a more cost friendly alternative for my next musky rod. the Tranx are expensive.

What's the advantage of a T-knob?
i love them. more to grab, better grip.

Shimano Nasci reassemble gone wild...
ok when i saw 'gone wild' i assumed you did your reel servicing naked..:P

Shimano Symetre, Gone?
i saw the symetre is back this year as part of a symetre combo: https://fish.shimano.com/content/fish/northamerica/us/en/homepage/FISHING_COMBOS/SIENNA_COMBO1.html no idea how good it is, or if it is available separately or not. or if the friction ring is not part of the design (the older stradics also bound up apparently cause of the same issue, i had many but never had the binding problem - I guess if the friction ring didn't get wet or break down you were fine). it was the worst in the early 2000s - people called them Shimbindo's

400 or 300 Tranx for Big Softbait Swimbaits
I concur 20 pound mono (i use sufix siege) casts amazing on the 400. I was thinking about going up a size but your experience has verified what i was thinking: that going up a line size might get stiff.

400 or 300 Tranx for Big Softbait Swimbaits
for 25 pound fluoro or mono, definitely the 400. they are the same reel other than the spool is a bit wider on the 400, the so the body is actually slightly wider on the 400. I have the 400A for musky and its amazing. i run 20 pound mono on it right now as i am throwing small muskie baits with it (under 2oz) on a MH musky rod and it holds a ton. there is a slight weight difference between the 300 and 400 as well if i recall.

Favorite #14 lb. - #17 lb. Mono / Co-Poly Line (.36mm to .41mm)
Sufix Siege for me. with a palmor knot i can't break the stuff. it casts great too. It has the same diameter as Big Game (same as Elite also)

All - Around Bait Cast Reel Line
Sufix Elite was referenced above. I haven't used it but I use Sufix Siege for all my fishing. 12 pound test is my favorite all around mono line.
