  1. Another funny story about those magnets. My buddy’s kids were instructed not to touch the magnet to anything heavy. Well they come into the house and say “daddy the magnet got stuck to the lawn mower but we didn’t do it.” He said the 100 ft orange rope strung all the way across the yard leading directly to the mower disagreed with their story . He had to wail on the magnet with a hammer to get it free from the mowing deck
  2. The calendar doesn’t say fall until sept 22……. my wife dabbles in witchcraft so I know these things
  3. Jerkbait mostly, but the ones near my dock dont ignore anything. It’s hard to get them to see the bait but if they do, they are snapping at it. Had one go crazy for a fluke on Saturday as well . Hard part is hooking them, usually they just get their snout wrapped in the line best method for me is to wait to cast until you see one gulp air and cast quickly to it. As soon as they gulp they submarine back down so it has to be timed perfectly, you’ve only got a couple seconds . The best shot is when they gulp twice consecutively . Just try to make sure you put it right on them, above the head. I don’t think they can see very far. a dead bluegill will almost always get bit even without sight fishing but they will swim all over creation holding it in their mouth like a dog with a bone and when you pull tight they just let it go

  18. @J Francho, I don’t know but we were swimming and wading so much I would guess it washes off
  19. Yall are killing me! 😂 @Kev-mo, there are lots of them! Most aren’t willing to swim, fall down, wade for 10 hours, and be destroyed by parasites so I’m not terribly worried about naming the place, although my cousin might kill me if I did
  20. We should have never sent Sam Houston, Jon sevier and the boys to save Texas from Mexico……. 😂 now they wanna claim they are the real UT, though the university of TN existed before Texas was even a state
  21. @gimruis, seems like they had a tag lottery for an extremely limited amount of kills a few years back , not sure if it still goes on. They are historically native to the area, were gone for a long time, and were reintroduced around the year 2000(ish) I think. Several in the Great smoky mtns national park had radio tracking collars on and weren’t the least bit frightened by people, they would walk straight up to you if I had to guess, they were thriving back when the native Americans used to burn the vegetation. Then when Europeans suppressed all fires the habitat became thick woods not as suitable for grazing
  22. You could throw a spear and kill one around here. I took the middle photo from a ladder rack on top of a truck, thing scared me to death
