Every time I get a surplus, the fish chew thru my supply
  4. Love to hear this
  5. I know a spot that has 52-56 degree water year round……
  6. That’s because you haven’t been on BR long enough…….. I’ve never heard anyone say it was legitimate except you haha. We may be the only 3 people that believe it if you toss @NittyGrittyBoy in with us
  7. Yeah people still talk about George Perry’s world record LM all the time…… only problem is the only thing that comes out of their mouth is denial
  8. 10? That’s 2 lbs short…….. there have been 10s caught in Alabama over the years, and a few from dale hollow too. FFS doesn’t make the fish heavier. also dale hollow is being somewhat overtaken by massive largemouth
  9. I really do. Been 70 years, I’m the leader in the clubhouse on this bet now if they started damming up rivers again tomorrow, I would change my tune. Most reservoirs peak after initial construction then slowly decline forever . Unless they drain them, then there’s another boom upon refill
  10. Empty water doesn’t exist where I live, it’s smart fish. I would imagine TX is the same. If you can show me a cove or a point or a river or a lake or a pond that doesn’t have a bass in it, I’ll kiss your…….. I learned this lesson fishing a set of rapids on a hot summer day. 3 people in the boat, skunked for hours. I got bored and my buddy said hey I’ve got a mask and snorkel if you wanna use it. Jumped in and there were huge smallmouth everywhere also ask anyone with electronics, especially live scope. Finding fish is as easy as turning the unit on, the hard part is finding ones that will bite or making smart lazy ones bite
  11. I would mostly agree, but the man that actually crossed this bridge said all he got from catching it was “trouble” field and stream magazine, the biggest thing going at the time, called him and home to tell him how embarrassed they were
  12. The problem there is ……… create a way to make money off them and guess what…… the people making money want more of it. Then the goal is make more money with more fish, it does the opposite of eradication Exactly, meat market will only make the problem worse
  13. A redeye bass is a black bass species separate from rock bass
  14. None of them, the haters come out of the woodwork when you catch something like that. The man that caught the world record smallmouth has said that he wishes he never caught it https://www.bassmaster.com/news/david-hayes-and-the-world-record-smallmouth-bass/
  15. It shall rain Odds are high ……..
  16. I pull the plug every time I extract the boat even though I have a carport, don’t wanna haul water down the road if it was to start raining. You know how it is around here, get about 18 downpours per week haha
  17. Winter is also my preferred fishing season, spring time is for amateurs…….. hahaha the good thing is, most people launch their boat once on the first pretty Saturday in may, then quit for the year
  18. They’ve literally never found a small one in TN river, all large adults which is even further evidence all they have to do to stop it is close the lock. But then all of a sudden the million dollars of grant money stops coming in. therefore they will keep opening the locks, crying wolf and looking for handouts
  19. I’ve got a magnolia blooming already
  20. Jinxed it , did ya?
