  1. I was outside pumping gas about 5 minutes ago and I had to be dangerously close to getting stuck by lightning twice in the amount of time it took to pump ten gallons. It felt like the fillings in my teeth fell out
  2. It still works the same way even with the internet
  3. ^good advice here! theres also a good many people that bank fish watauga and south Holston lakes. Just pick a nice point and set up on it, big smallies are everywhere. be prepared for some foul weather up that way, lots of storms/floods all summer and a decent amount of cold and snow in winter
  4. Hornets and yellow jackets
  5. Got one on the spro pin tail stick worm casted into the middle of the river. I lost a nicer smallmouth (18-20” skinny one) that fought like crazy on the Fishlab craw bait, it tail walked several times and threw the bait boat side We are finally getting some good flow from the dams above that is cooling the water off nicely, saw 69 degree surface temp
  6. I’ve got some huge pines but luckily not over the driveway. Sugar maples coat peoples cars more often here. The pines do concern me when the wind blows, they could crush my whole house
  7. Don’t forget black
  8. Slow Going but no skunk. My buddy got the LM on a frog in milfoil, pretty fun sound when it hit
  9. No I just meant they had to let their fish go. So didn’t necessarily “catch zero bass all day,” but caught maybe a bunch of little bass its typically very easy to catch 14.9” or 13.9” bass depending on which pool you’re on. The shorts are plentiful I fished a tournament once where I caught maybe 30 fish but weighed in 0 . They were all too small, but to read the results you may have thought I didn’t catch a single bass, like @KSanford33 mentioned
  10. Or caught bass that were under the local limit. For instance most places on TN river, LMB have to be 15” to go into the livewell
  11. Ever heard of the st Lawrence river?
  12. I caught a nice one this weekend with a dead bluegill about the size of the one in the picture. look how it “hooked” itself
  13. I think the cities have to want the trail to come, with their wallets
  14. 8 foot ain’t small! I’ve fished around 12+ footers a lot but 8 is still long enough to………. Bite the fire out of you hahaha
  15. Yeah sounds cool, whatever. the real question is when are you having us over for flounder?
  16. Yeah, I saw Osborne’s final game……….. they stomped a Tennessee team, led by Peyton manning we got them back in ‘16 but that was no Tom Osborne huskers squad that triple option was a sight to behold when it was running good
  17. Congrats! First nice bass I ever caught was also on a tiny worm under a bobber
  18. Lasso around the beak a few times
  19. Now that’s a weird way to “hook” one
  20. Oh yes, and definitely visit the TN aquarium in downtown
  21. I don’t think I would wade much of anywhere below the dam. Not good footing and swift water, many places one step off the bank and it’s over your head . The shore fishing is usually excellent below tva dams, you’ll see where the public fishing areas are
