have you EVER bought anything significant from a door to door salesperson?
You got it. If I had something nice, it would probably be stolen already. The name of the game is don’t have nicer stuff than your neighbors

Yep . That’s why I open the door and at least ask em what they want haha. I live in/near the ghetto, squatters on heroin and meth slither all through here. A no solicitation sign or camera is just something that would attract attention and they might steal. So many of my neighbors have pictures and video of thieves and vandals, it doesn’t help. It does however allow you to watch your belongings walk away over and over and over on film

I’ve never encountered that. Warmer water= increased metabolism

gastric discomfort from eating wild mushrooms
Never had that from chanterelles but I could see how it would happen. Everything will cause the squirts from time to time

Fishing Cartoons - Should I try It?
Always remember, bass eat their children. Constantly. You don’t read about humans doing that terribly often

Y’all are funny. My neighbors bring me fresh produce all the time, maybe I should tell them to get the heck off my property

Interesting Read. Dangerous Smallmouth...
I wouldn’t mind if SMB killed every single trout in the US the article is pretty funny, nobody wants to blame the city planners that put 50 million people in a desert for the low water, just point a finger at the SMB

What he said- Why a Kayak?
I’ve seen some kayaks there but not when the water was spilling over the top- Trying to buy a nice kayak
Stability is great but I paddled a huge stable kayak once or twice and it felt like paddling a barge. I like a combination of speed and stability- Why a Kayak?
I have to have them all. Well I don’t have to, but it helps. I’ve got 2 gas powered boats, 5 kayaks, and a canoe. You can’t fish from a motor boat here wouldn’t mind having one of these rafts either, they go ultra shallow and you sure as heck don’t want to be fishing right here in a kayak Or here these last two pics are taken right near my house. You don’t want to be paddling in this current unless it’s sunny and warm, and you’ve got a car several miles downstream. The second pic was a day in my 14 foot v hull and it was sporty, snowing sideways with big waves I like to fish all varieties of waters, we don’t have many small ponds or electric only or anything like that. Only having one kind of boat limits your options greatly- Broiled Bass
I’ve caught them in a foot of water at 94 degrees. They go where the food is- Have you generally found larger river/creek smallies holding close to the bank or more often further off the bank in deeper water?
- Smallmouth tournaments are boring..
Disagree- Any interest in trapping?
I cut them out if it smells worse than losing $150 to ya hahaha do they always die in the same wall? I’ve opened many walls and found lots of skeletons with a fresh mouse on top. Just so happened to be the only wall that was open into the attic, no framing across the top. I saw one guy that just left a snap trap inside the wall they always fell into, at least then he could retrieve the carcass . Take baseboard loose and maybe leave a hole in sheet rock you could pull them out of, then nail base board back on to hide the hole in sheet rock- I lost two fish today, and I'm not 100% sure what to do differently
Classic case of over thinking it. You’ll get em soon enough - Is itworth fishing after heavy rain?
