  1. I feel like I’m trying to diffuse a bomb when I fiddle with that stuff
  2. Boy did I get a laugh this morning. Desparate times call for desperate measures. A squirrel chewed a hole in a dryer exhaust and I have unsuccessfully been trying to catch it on the roof. So yesterday I decided I was going to put a trap on a second story window sill right next to the exhaust even though there was only one place to drive a screw and tie the trap off. It caught the squirrel and somehow held it up there! I could see it dangling and shaking violently when I parked my truck Hahahaha
  3. Making that face is as far as I ever make it when dealing with a jumble of wires like that red/black or black/white is the extent of my skill set
  4. I was wondering why I kept getting stuck on all those cables in hartwell! on my home lakes/rivers, there are both floating docks and wooden post docks galore . My favorite thing for the floating docks is a Texas rig believe it or not. Zoom U tail with a 1/16 oz or 1/8 oz sinker. Throw it ONTO the dock. Then slowly drag it into the water and watch your coils of mono floating on the surface. When it stops abruptly, reel in your fish! for the wooden docks, I’ll throw about anything
  5. I think I’ve only used a two or three kinds and they were all strong. I’ve been using 40 lb smack down a bit lately and it casts great, I’ve been throwing some heavy stuff trying for striper
  6. I wasn’t at the weigh in on Sunday but that sounds like Gerald the g man swindle
  7. They didn’t make a movie called grumpy old men for no reason! Cheer up Tom, we enjoy all your posts and information and stories, they are some of the greatest stories that have ever been told about the socal big largemouth era . The recent posts about all your jumbo catches got rave reviews from the members. Sure people are going to say it’s not true, who cares. David hayes, who caught the world record smallmouth, says he wishes he never caught it. And most people dont believe George Perry’s fish was real either. I personally love to hear all the information that you provide about big bass, hair jigs, clear water, deep water, etc. And I personally don’t care one bit what people that would call you delusional or a bragger would say. I’m in the vast majority that values all of your posts
  8. Oh ok I gotcha. I doubt he paid much attention to the air soft hahaha. I used to rent a log cabin that was comparable to living in a hollow tree. One time me and my wife (girlfriend at the time) were in the living area eating pizza. I heard something in the kitchen, looked in there, and a possum was sitting on the cookie sheet I used to reheat the pieces of pizza, licking the crumbs. I walked in there and grabbed it like a cat and threw it outside. Wash my hands, sit back down to pizza. Guess who walked right back into the crawl space and climbed a pvc through the floor and was back in the kitchen 5 minutes later? Same possum. So the second time I threw it like Nolan ryan into an embankment and he walked away upset and didn’t come back for a few days
  9. Yep! It’s called madness for a reason

Sooooo, when is the next time you’re in TN? i certainly don’t think I’m capable of what you’re describing, and definitely can’t afford to hire it done. I can definitely put a tarp on there but it will rot away fairly quickly in the woods I would imagine. so far, in 30 years time it has only damaged a part of drywall about as big as 2 hands. I may just wait 30 years and fix drywall again, I’ll be close to dead by then haha seriously though, thanks for all the information. I guess I’m just going to have to hope I fixed the leak, I can walk up there easily any time and assess the situation
  11. Spring time is for amateurs anyway! Looks like you did well i gladly skip pretty weather days in spring for maintenance, all the people that don’t know how to launch or if their boat will start come out of the woodworks
  12. Ok you’re the math guy, wasn’t San Antonio called Mexico 300 years ago?

Yeah I forgot to read that part……. Because it was the first thing on the label of course……… I ended up taking a water jug onto the roof and pouring more in every 3-5 Minutes haha. Is it a good product for the purpose I used it for? They had a whole lot to choose from
  14. Atta boy! I bet you got that possum that was nibbling your coon skin hahah

I definitely don’t think there’s any in there, I’ll sock it to it tomorrow

The side of each piece of flashing or the sides of the chimney? I’ll have to look again tomorrow. Somehow I never saw the part circled in red until today and I’ve been up there hundreds of times

Yea that’s it and a squirrel chewed on it haha. It runs all the way through the gutter to the dish, I need to just cut it loose (but maybe we will get tv down there one day). The flashing is all tucked under the shingles and adhered to the bricks, although I wouldn’t really know if it was “wrong.” The ceiling is the same pitch as the roof so I don’t think you can walk in the attic, I can check tomorrow. here’s the spot inside and a few more pics I found on my Phone

It all seemed normal as far as I can tell? I work around that stuff all the time keeping bats out but I don’t know how to install it edit: just reviewed the photos, what you are seeing is a big thick black wire that does to a satellite dish
  19. Any of those oughta work
  20. I don’t fish tourneys much but fish different states. You’ve got to get a temporary depending on the state, some offer one day, some only offer 3 day, some a week, etc. I think I had to get a 14 day for South Carolina, that was the shortest available. I heard one story of a bass elite series angler getting disqualified because he didn’t have the correct Canadian license in the st Lawrence event

I definitely should have consulted @Way north bass guy before doing this but……… we have a minor leak somewhere on the chimney at the lake house. There was a weak part of drywall above the fireplace that we patched a few years back, it’s starting to turn black again. I got some kind of product at the hardware store that seemed relevant to the problem and got up there today and fixed some cracks . Fingers crossed @Jigfishn10 was supposed to complete this job but he was down on the dock asleep next to an empty martini glass
  22. Always remember the golden rule
  23. Set traps around the fur! Haha. the guy that skins them fast is over 60 and he’s been trapping every year since he was 11 , nothing beats experience
  24. That’s a nice one! I think it takes a whole lot of practice, I don’t skin anything because it takes me forever also. I know a guy though! He can have a raccoon done in around 8-10 minutes if he’s in a hurry
