  1. Go football team
  2. first trip of 2021. Let the first few keepers go for good luck, even caught some striper bait for the freezer . Been on vacation in the land of no fishing for a week and I was getting a little twitchy
  3. I fish slow every time out, but I don’t catch tournament winning bags very often so I wouldn’t recommend it. However I do get a big smallie every once in a while honestly I do better slow dragging in summer and reaction bite in winter. Go figure?
  4. I don’t know, almost every cove looks like this . There’s more than enough shad, I think it’s something else (unknown ). When you reel in a rattle trap, its fairly common to catch 2-3 shad on a single cast
  5. I’ll just let Mr Hayes have the smallmouth record, he’s been through enough over it. He was quoted as saying he wished he never caught the record fish because of all the BS controversy (Also I’ve never caught a 6 much less a 12 hahaha)
  6. I don’t think a scale is considered “certified” if it’s in a boat
  7. Bowfin. They’ve done it to me a lot
  8. Skunks and weasels are also in the mustelidae family. They all stink but skunks still a tad worse!!!
  9. Oh yes and hAir jig! That’s what I hooked my only tarpon with . Didn’t catch it
  10. I was using it like a jig on a cliff. You’ve got options!
  11. It’s like a White Russian only not as good. Long day and I don’t want to get more supplies
  12. I toss paddle tail grubs or gulp minnows. I sure think a jerkbait would work though . Frozen shrimp on a jig head is what I use most often, ain’t no shame in my game. This is in FLA
  13. ^that fish would pull me off the casting deck into the drink
  14. Well I was going to post about some things I’ve caught saltwater fish with but what @bulldog1935 posted is coming from a place of far more experience and expertise
  15. So far only 2 tournaments, 0 keepers in the first one (BFL co angler) and I (we) got a 1.86 lb keeper in the second one (fundraiser). Next logical step is beating Jordan lee. I liked the team tourney more than blind draw
  16. In shape...... round is a shape......... my grandma cooked for “boarders” (Miners) when she was young. She cooked enough for an army every meal and was extremely concerned if we didn’t eat 3 full plates. The ratio is a bit off since I don’t shovel coal all day........
  17. The hymns are FAR better than the commercial songs (with a few exceptions)
  18. I was about to eat the last helping of shrimp pasta over on the stove and I didn’t, this thread came into mind and stopped me. I have a lifelong habit of eating until I have to lay down on the floor , it’s a wonderful feeling that I wish I didn’t enjoy quite so much.
  19. Titos, baileys, milk, and ice cube. Suffering from lack of ingredients here fellas
  20. I got some that @Bluebasser86makes and put a zoom UV speed craw on it. It has worked almost every time I’ve tried it so far! I am also a noob to the tactic and just threw it on steep banks with laydowns and you could see the line jump when they hit it. I’ve heard laydowns aren’t good for football head but maybe it works because it’s swinging? I don’t know but they like it. I’m looking forward to trying it during the prespawn on the open flats, inspired by @A-Jaywith his rage bug/swing head success. They should work with any setup capable of throwing a 1/2 jig or something like that, I like 12-15 lb line and MH. Prepare the net!!!
  21. @fin certainly captured some great photos!
  22. Private sector will do it for a hefty fee. Make the HOA pay for it !
