  1. One of your hunting buddies got you good!
  2. Oh, and if you are bank bound, fish below the dams. Let me see if I can find a link of when the elites fished there i think they took off from downtown Montgomery
  3. I’ve fished that river many times! I’ve dissected that map in my mind so much ....... when I saw it on the screen of my phone it almost scared me hahaha. @NavyVet1204, check out Dustin Connell on YouTube, he’s from a bit north of there but has plenty of videos on how to catch coosa river spots and largemouth. I camp on the Alabama river every year for a week on Memorial Day, have for about 22 years straight
  4. Good to hear you slayed em. White bass jumping is a little piece of euphoria. I have captured it on video several times
  5. Nice one! But it doesn’t count because you didn’t use a true ned head......
  6. That's assuming internet spot Hawks are better at me than catching fish, which they never are. Why? Because their strategy is to copy cat. A copy is never as good as the original
  7. Ahhhhhh. My favorite. Seeing sunrise and sunset makes everything else a bonus
  8. I don’t know the reals answer but boiling makes most things softer, like potatoes. Now about this lure you have pictured, why do I not fish that more often?? looks deadly
  9. That’s quite the art project!
  10. I’ve launched several into orbit! When I was a youngster I would tie big lures on 6 lb line and spinning gear. Some of my plugs should be hanging out on the international space station. It’s amazing how far they go without the line attached
  11. Ha! Yes bank fishing requires a special armor. I say this as I’m scratching poison ivy, tick bites, and mosquito bites
  12. I’ve never done it but I will now! Thanks for the idea haha. I know a guy that fishes central FLA with ribbit style frogs and he said he has caught some monsters with them sitting still on the bottom and reeling them in below the surface
  13. Now that is hilarious. I’ve spent a good bit of time in Florida , you nailed it
  14. River smallies in 90 degree weather at lunch time? Give me a top water and somebody get the net!
  15. Are you on the bank or boat? If boat, get some shorts and flip flops and ditch the jeans! I change out of my work pants and boots immediately when I get off work
  16. Exactly! It was kind of a largemouth bass sushi experiment ...... never......... again....
  17. Nice one! By the way I’ve eaten fish broiled at 91 degrees, wouldn’t recommend it.......
  18. Or reservoirs, which are rivers and lakes all in one. We’ve been down this rabbit hole before and most folks just can’t wrap their mind around that
  19. Just like everything else in bass fishing, people want something newer. The plugs still work I’m sure, I’ll never buy a lure over $10 so I’ll never know first hand
  20. That’s just ridiculous. A lady I work with had to take a second job when she found out she had diabetes. Now she never sleeps but at least she can buy insulin. Some drug companies ought to be tarred and feathered
  21. Good way to beat the heat? Fish 66 degree water! The water was so cold there was a fog layer everywhere in the evening. Lots of species but mostly all small fish, Bobby caught 5 species with a rooster tail in the first half hour (largemouth smallmouth rock bass redbreast and yellow perch )
  22. Shad !!! Dead or alive
  23. I know why the price skyrocketed: greed! The reason health insurance is so expensive is because drug companies are tripling prices all the time
