  1. Like everyone said, sometimes it helps sometimes it hurts.
  2. It indeed works in cold water. I have never considered the menace a grub, although it says grub on the package haha. It’s a craw in my eyes
  3. Absolutely! Although I dont necessarily write down every bite. If you look at the rocks in the pic you will see why I bury the hook. I would say 75 percent or more of my fishing is done with that little hook, a standard 1/8 oz round ball jig head. I fish plastic worms, tubes, grubs, and gulp minnows with it. Which is pretty much all I throw with a few exceptions
  4. I still want to know where they are launching all these boats . Has to be at the canal
  5. Those are the amount of days until my fun winter catching ends and amatuer hour at the boat ramp begins
  6. I'm personally not a fan of a replica. My opinion (which I'm not pushing on anyone, just stating), is that if you are going to hang the fish on the wall, then hang the doggone fish on the wall. If you are going to hang a recreation from a photo, why not just hang the photo. Thats just me, not saying its correct. Just a preference I have . As to your dilemma, I would agree with earlier posts to shop around and see if anyone can make an exact mold
  7. 18 pounders are probably already napping by 10....... Since they do whatever the heck they want!!!
  8. I wish I could remember!!! Haha. I know I caught an 8 lb bass first thing in the morning once. But I have caught two more the same size and I don't remember a time on either. I caught what is probably my PB smallmouth about 930 am a month ago
  9. I'm not sure what my style is but I would guess finesse light line clear water suits my style best because winter is when I have the most success (and free time)
  10. Yes that's the thread I was hunting! Insert charlie Sheen "winning" meme here..... No I just clicked the most recent winter misery thread
  11. Had a warm day with 46 degree high temp. Got the boat out about after work about 5 pm, fished til 6:15 when it was pretty cold and dark. Slow ride back to the launch in the cold darkness at 5 mph haha. We got countless white bass, some were even chasing shad on top
  12. I took my boat out for an hour last night and caught countless white bass in 45 degree water. Some were hitting shad on top

Weekdays they play after dark. Weekends we take the radio on the boat!
  14. I wonder if they would have called pass interference if that was Tom Brady coming out of the backfield to catch that pass?
  15. @TOXIC, that’s unreal!!!
  16. @Dorado, that’s awesome. Any fish finder can be very effective once you get used to the particular unit
  17. Gotcha. We have a bunch of boat traffic here too. Sometimes the armadas of bass boats are the worst hahaha
  18. Hate to hear it. How do the wake boarders launch their boats if you can't? You could always move east where the bass have persisted for centuries

    Correction next game is Wednesday
  20. Yes. They eat it when it's sinking. Got the one in my avatar that way this December. Water was 50 tho
  21. On bottom. Im guessing in water that cold sweedish pimple and waxworm might work better
  22. Geez, are all those fish in the video from 2018??? That’s one heck of a year
  23. Those are good! My buddy always catches smallies with them when I am catching with a blade bait
  24. I hopped this around on the bottom on Saturday. One of my hand poured baits an old timer makes for me. Super soft. This one used to be watermelon but I left it in a bag of pumpkin lizards. I kind of like the resulting blend
