I can say one thing with 100 percent certainty: a big bass is much more capable of pulling loose, jumping off, or breaking your line. Therefore they are captured less frequently

I catch those all winter long in my cast net. The red nose and belly gets even worse after you put them in a bucket or livewell. Great job

Works year round I use both. The advantage of spinning is the spoon will sink faster. Sometimes they like to eat them better when it sinks by them a million miles an hour. Other times they want the slow sinking bait, like a little Cleo

Culverts are always good. Just like trapping animals, it’s a funnel/choke point . We have a bunch of them on the large reservoirs too, mostly when the water goes under a highway

All my baitcasters (except 1) are round abu Garcia reels from the 80s. Honestly I wish they were older because the plastic thumb button is always fouling up. The older ones had a metal button off to the side that never messed up

They have time trials every Wednesday near my house and they stretch across the entire river. I have almost hit a few. I’m a kayaker myself but dang I stay out of the barge channel hahaha

Hahaha. I think I have posted the story on here before but I accidentally bought a left hand retrieve baitcaster with $75 worth of quarters when I was about 12. I was very proficient with a right hand retrieve baitcaster at the time but the lefty felt crazy and I couldn’t hold the rod tip stationary. Since a 12 year old can’t really drive himself back to the sporting goods store I just practiced until it was second nature . Now I can use either RH or LH retrieve and I can cast left or right handed
