I just set my motor on the little metal lever that is factory issue with the engine. I’m guessing this is not an option on larger motors, mine is a 50hp. I used to piddle around with transom savers that attach to trailer and the rubber V notch always broke and the ones with the metal V and rubber stoppers cost like $60. I Decided to just trust the factory lever about 3-4 years ago and haven’t had any trouble (that I know of). And I put a LOT of miles on a boat trailer

I drive all over town for work so I can drop in anytime. I think a new trolling battery is my very near future, one of mine drains much faster than the other

Lowrance elite 4hdi is what I have, I like it a lot and I think it was $199. Bigger ones show more detail but cost exponentially more

For winter spotted bass try those jerkbaits, especially if they suspend. That and a shakey head with a finesse worm oughta ccatch them

Was the water muddied up from all the rain? I’ve had some good luck in the rain with a spinner but after the rain In muddy water can get a little tough

Oh my word. I love the release on those last two, the power of a tail kick from fish that size is unreal

I’ll eat about anything but the meat inside those fish is RED! I mean really red, although I was afraid to try it so I don’t know for sure

I got a $5 chatterbait stuck in a thorny Rose bush yesterday and my trolling motor could barely keep up with the current to go get it . I was very concerned about this $5 bait, so that tells you if I have ever chucked a $100 lure into the river........

The only reason I could get close is because that’s a common size fish near my house. Anything over 21”, very rare
