If you use your shirt, make sure it’s cotton. If you are wearing one of those vented shirts that feels like a hefty bag, (I’m required to wear them when fly guiding) use the hem of your cotton boxers. If it’s cold and you don’t have shorts on and can’t do that, use the cotton undershirt. If you don’t wear cotton anywhere then you are rich and just get new shades hahahahah

I have never carried and don’t have a permit to do so. Honestly I’m a terrible shot with a pistol. I keep the armor of God and a sharp blade on my person at all times. And I have dozens of fishing buddies that carry as soon as their feet touch the floor every morning

When dealing with a canine don’t think kershaw , think blunt force trauma. I had a buddy with a rat problem and he told me his brother went after one with a butcher knife Hahahahah. You could jump into a barrel with a rat and a butcher knife and never kill that little booger!!! A rip rap or dogwood branch is your best friend when dealing with almost any animal that is trying to eat you. There’s a lot of people and animals that can survive dozens of stab wounds but not much can survive getting thumped in the skull

I get a lot of bites but miss about 95% of them. I use 4/0 and 5/0 to try to increase hookups and still miss most bites. Anyone have any advice? I have tried letting them eat it longer and they thrash it like a terrier and spit it out. If I set fast I just pull it out of their mouth

Sounds like you just need me to pick through your collection and lighten your load a bit.......... I had whole boxes exactly like that of cranks and jerks that I left out in the sun and they all swolled and busted and warped. That’s why I just keep them laying around singly now hahaha

I have fished one tournament in my life and it was as a co angler. (BFL not team) The guy told me at the meeting the night before that he hadn’t fished the lake in years and wasn’t on anything. He kept the boat 1 ft from the bank the entire 8 hrs and threw up front. He also asked me where I wanted to fish, which was illegal the way I understood the rules. Is this considered “backboating” or unethical or what? I didn’t complain to him or anyone, just asking what y’all think. (For the record I have a few of my own boats but they aren’t “tournament worthy”) Biggest waste of $120 I can recall and I haven’t fished a tournament ever since and probably never will. Needless to say we both caught dink’s and zero keepers. Sure is fun to have a regular job and just fish with all my neighbors and friends after work and on weekends that I have off.

Tread lightly ! I actually fish barefoot a lot when it’s not too hot and have somehow never caught myself. I did flip a canoe this summer and retained both my rods only because the jitterbug tied to one of the rods was stuck in my toe and the other rod was tangled all up in the line. Had to rip the hook out underwater because we were swimming through rapids with a swamped boat........ ouchie

Ditto. I have been fishing smallies since about age 2 in the state where the world record came from and I don’t know if I have ever gotten a 6. Closest I have come was probably this 21.5 inch prespawn . 6 is a trophy anywhere in My book. Now I think my girlfriend did get a true 6 maybe 6.5 jigging up white bass with a 5’ ultra light and 4 lb line. 22.5 inches also prespawn in March. Methinks that fish was eating white bass
