  1. I was speaking more figuratively, like, I go fishing as often as possible
  2. Boston is playing some really good hoops
  3. I keep my hook in the water as much as possible
  4. @teethmarks, sweet shoes !!!!!!
  5. Sounds about right!
  6. Sometimes I rip a finesse worm in half and wacky rig it. Or Texas rig a senko weightless and just let it tumble when getting hung too much
  7. Killing 8 is better than killing 0 but your great grandchildren will be able to hear them every morning also. Coyotes are as relentless as a rat, they won't be stopped. I laugh every time a customer tells me "they built a shopping center over there so all the animals came to my house." Wildlife, especially coyotes, are extremely adaptable and thrive in shopping centers and neighborhoods just as well or better than they would in a national Forest. Unfortunately if you get rid of a dozen coyotes they send two dozen more. A friend of mine caught 23 early last fall at a golf course and two cemeteries, but he is the best old school trapper around here.
  8. I’m hoping for a miracle from philly but it looks like Boston is finishing games much better. Sixers did look dominant at the end of the regular season, I was hoping they would represent the east. The talking heads on ESPN were hinting that poor coaching has lost them every game against Boston so far
  9. Had a bachelor party to attend at a cabin up in the mountains so I left the house a little early and dropped in for about an hour of wading. Wasted almost the entire time trying to snag some massive carp and get some gar to bite. No luck even though I was surrounded by dozens of huge fish. Tied on a tube and got 5-6 smallmouth very quickly, probably should have started with the tube........
  10. I caught 5-6 in an hour yesterday under similar conditions, just letting a tube tumble around in the rocks. They should be eating like sharks at 60 degrees unless they are locked into spawning. Although if that were the case I think you would see them. Is there a dam upstream of where you are fishing?
  11. Looks like you don’t need any pointers on catching smallmouth! Nice catches, A lot of the water I’m fishing in Tennessee is the same temperature as your part of lake erie
  12. Lebron goes glass for the win. He continues to impress this postseason, Toronto doesnt stand a chance
  13. Don’t know much about hockey but it sounds like Nashville came up big last night to avoid going down 3-1 to Winnipeg. A lot of us Tennesseans, mostly clueless about the sport, are cheering for the predators since they are the only pro hockey team anywhere close.

    Pun intended??
  15. What about rats and cockroaches?
  16. I'm betting it was hard to reel in too!
  17. Nice job paying it forward, I bet she enjoyed that. Nice brown too
  18. @5by3, I totally agree that any team LeBron plays for will be in contention for a title. He has taken some bad teams to the finals and some really good teams to the finals. Three of lebrons finals losses were with "big 3" superteams (one to the Mavs one to the Spurs and one to the warriors). As for an honset guess at that ragged 07 team LeBron dragged to the finals, (from a non Cavs fan without googling), I will guess taj Gibson andeson varejo and aldrunis ilgauskus???
  19. My wireless trolling motor drove me mad (not even GPS, this was years ago) so I got a good ole fashioned regular one. Simple can be good
  20. You might get spring in June
  21. They sure did! The raptors couldn't hit the ocean from a boat at the end
  22. Carolina rig is for longer casts when you want your bait to get to the bottom and stay there. You can cover a lot of water with it, the heavy weight keeps the bait down even if you retrieve it somewhat quickly. The big sinker also allows the angler to learn bottom composition by feel. I started having more success Carolina rigging when I went with someone throwing a 1 oz Carolina rig in a shallow lake in Florida, fishing 4-5 ft of water. I thought it was crazy but we slayed the bass and since that day I have confidence with it anywhere. Always use more weight than you think you should
  23. I was thinking the same thing. I haven’t caught a 6 lb bass in over a decade. I haven’t caught a largemouth over 3 in about 2 years. Edit: ok I remember a 20" lm from last winter that was probably about 4lbs. Luckily i find a lot of 3-4 lbs smallmouth to keep me wishing. And I fish pretty much daily after work if there’s enough daylight left
