  1. I believe a buddy of mine pulled yet another smallmouth buffalo into my boat last bight from the same lake as the OP. The buffalo bite is hot!!!! Hahaha
  2. Gotcha thanks. Yes I busted the case, made it back 6-8 Miles to the launch without even noticing
  3. Well a new one costs about what the entire engine is worth. Or do you mean search for a used one by part number?
  4. If anyone can run one of these down I would be very interested, thanks in advance. Apparently they are like unicorns
  5. I've been throwing a black knock off senko for the last year or two regardless of water color. They like it in clear or muddy water, from fast current to dead still water
  6. I have always thought there should be length maximums as opposed to minimums but the only example in my state that is similar is catfish. Only two over 34" may be harvested
  7. I'm locking in smallmouth buffalo as my answer too.
  8. Little bit of snow predicted even in TN tonight
  9. 3lb skipjacks were smashing lures and going crazy last night
  10. I have seen a couple good reports from dale hollow lately
  11. 1000 cold cranking amps should be plenty, wal Mart batteries are surprisingly reliable. Interstate are also very good batteries
  12. I have only eaten one Pike but it was very good white meat. Instead of trying one of the 25 different methods I heard for removing the y bone, I just ate it with a fork
  13. I'm 33 yrs old and have yet to witness a bass population drop, I guess I'm lucky enough to live in a good area.
  14. That's pretty cool! The name reminds me of the old color C lector that my dad used to dip down into the water
  15. So I knocked a hole in my lower unit on my bigger boat, been fishing out of my smaller one for a couple weeks. I Took the 2d lowrance off the trolling motor while big boat is in the shop and figured I would somehow rig it to my small boat without drilling holes (no trolling motor on small boat). Used a nalgene half full of water as my surrogate trolling motor head and it works pretty well! (Feel free to laugh)
  16. I have had a few largemouth, a couple of them pretty big ones, follow in a hooked smallmouth. They are just eating what the hooked fish is vomiting up, fish are ruthless and hungry
  17. When I saw this thread title I was going to type this but you beat me to it! And added a photo of Rico! Well played
  18. Usgs website has water temp for several sites, I look at it daily
  19. Wow loaded question. 1) hank Williams sr. Tied for second : Johnny cash, willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Merle haggard, don Williams, Marty Robbins, glen Campbell, probably a few I’m forgetting as I listen to all these artists over a glass of scotch
  20. Sure looks like catchable bass to me. Or maybe other fish but they are definitely there. One problem I encounter is just because fish are there doesn't mean they are catchable. I like to jump in the water with a mask on to see what it really is. This is very frustrating though because every time I have done this, I see bass easily. It is absolutely CRAZY how many bass see your lures and never bite them, at least where I live (heavily pressured waters)
  21. Intended to go striper fishing but realized while pumping gas that I had cracked my lower unit the day before. Quick change of plans and floated from point a to point b and used trolling motor and paddle. Caught a nice brown trout with a gold spoon
  22. Hahahah! My cousin tells that story the exact same way but it’s a Muskie not a bass
  23. Throwing them into a cooler of ice would be ideal. I’ve carried them around all day in a creel with no ice and they were still delicious
