  1. The Mrs really wants me to start wearing a PFD especially when alone. I have done some research on the self inflator, but am curious as to what, if any do you use. Thanks, Al
  2. You will get used to what ever you have, especially since the rods will had a different feel....that said, the shamano reels just fit my hand better
  3. Had to go to FL to get it... 6.8
  4. NHBull replied to 2tall79's topic in Fishing Tackle
    owner or decoy
  5. One companies fast is another's extra fast......IL everything is even x fast
  6. I just went through the same thing on my lund impact 1775 vs 1875. Both boats are virtually identical with the exception of 1 ft. Being that I am by myself 90% of the time, I wanted something that was easy to handle in my senior years. I also realized that a 115 that was max on the 1775 was more than ample for my lake. Had I went 1875, the 150 would have been the choice and the difference between the boats was about 10k. I am sure there will be times I wish I had more room, but for the majority of thine and 10k, I am happy with an 18' boat This is the last boat I am going to buy.........again!
  7. My buddy launches his lund almost anywhere. He put a power we chat on the front of his truck and the control cable is long enough to make it into the cab. He has NEVER had an issue
  8. My common 4 and 5 inch senkos, go in boxes. Bags in bags for everything else
  9. This year I am going with a yellow and pink. Last year I realized I am more of a visual fisherman and going out at dusk with moss green cripples me. Also, TW doesn't always carry the full line of colors made by certain brands. It is best to look at the manufacturer's site
  10. I have often thought about have a custom or 2 built, I simply just don't know what I want. I suspect it would be for bottom or deep technique with a single hook and full cork, but my glx's do a fine job, less the full cork. My question would be, what type of rods do most folk have built?
  11. Always Weightless wacky Jig Any surface bait
  12. The R and R +1 are my go-to's.......now you have me looking at the R+2
  13. When I first started using jigs the old guy I was with had me only move the jig with the rod, never the reel. This slowed me to a snails pace and my hookups improved dramatically
  14. Thanks for all the replies, given where I am staying, booking AJ'S Orlando Guides made the most sense......will report back next week....
  15. I am staying with the GLX, it just works better for me
  16. I am going with the Ulterra partly because of the power trim. I can't speak to peddle vs remote, but you can always add a peddle. The way I fish I think the remote will be fine
  17. Shamano on Loomis just feels right. I will never know if these are the best, but for me, they are.
  18. I was hoping you would chime in as he reminds me of you...
  19. Presently I do not have a 5/1 cranking reel and this may be the solution! I am sure I could find another use for my 6/1
  20. He mostly throws 3/8 poppers 3/8 jerks 5 " weightless senkos Shallow CB. All of which I see on a Med spinning rod......the action and flex is the sticking point. As an example, he is looking at a M/Xf e6x for worm/jig. And there are plenty of BC options for the others, but spinning, not so much
  21. New2BC4bass,.....he does and will pass that along
  22. Got a buddy that is looking to pick up 3 spinning set-up 1. His passion is poppers and small top waters 2.. His second set up would be for worm/ jig 3. His third would be for waters in between, but no deep diving CB He is looking to spend approximately 150.00 per rod. ......and he wants all spinning and fishes from a boat and kayak. I am little help, since the only rods I am comfortable with are Loomis. Thanks, I am sure he will join here this week Al
  23. I will be holding off a season to see where the dust settles. Just don't see the fit between the Met and cronarch, but may be wrong. I would not be surprised to see the price of the cronarch drop on the secondary market.
