  1. Only if I had to choose...... That said, if I was going to have 3 rods, they would be high end with reels to match
  2. I don't think it is an all or nothing decision given many of the rod selections available, ie the Loomis MAG series. Seams 2 or 3 rods could handle the bulk techniques
  3. FC for everything except topwaters and large swimbait. Premium mono for the latter
  4. Growing up I can't remember a time I didn't have a pole in my hand, but for one reason or another, I didn't pass that to my kids. Now that I have grandkids, it's something I am obsessing about. This Summer I just want them on the boat. How young is to young to drop a line and what are kids using? Thanks, Bubba
  5. I would look for a used MET MGL Or wait for the Bantam

I live in a small college town and wore my NRA cover and EGA to breakfast this morning, I think they had to draw straws to see who had to serve me ?
  7. I would bet dollar for donuts that there is an easement/liscense that wasn’t recorded. I would look to the original land owner and his law firm
  8. If it ain’t broke......... that said a deticated (M/M) CB rod would get my choice, especially if I was going to spend a lot of time with it in my hands. IMHO, you do not need to spend a lot of money for it
  9. Owner wacky and also use it for dropshots
  10. If this situation was in NH, you would loose. I work for an institution that post 800 acres for this very purpose I also just purchased property where the hang up was the easement/liscense. That said you are likely to get an attorney to look at it at no charge.

Been a life time member for years and no intention of giving it up
  12. Awesome and thanks for sharing
  13. I tie braid direct to larger top water and some swimbaits
  14. I am a braid to leader guy too
  15. James, get the auto! When ice goes out and water temps are 40, it can be very hard to get back in the boat..additionally, I have seen a guy fall into 3feet of water and bust an ankle and while he wasn’t wearing a pfd, I did have to toss him a cushion. Crap happens
  16. Sunday breakfast...
  17. I just went through the same thing and got the mustang 28 auto........I know my wife worries given how much time I am out alone.
  18. I have an 852 and use it for bottom contact worms and jigs......and sometimes drop shots
  19. In my quiver it would be a flip/pitch rod as I seldom use heavy’s for more than that.....and welcome aboard
  20. The nice part of this time it that I don’t have to give a lot of thought to bait selection. Jerks , and Jigs tend to get it done......that said I get skunked more during this time, than any other
  21. Nice fish,,,,,,,,still going to be 6 weeks before ice gets out up here
  22. 832 Gamma Torge smackdown.......are all top braids
  23. Few things in nature is consistent and truly predictable. Even what seams to be a slow and steady retrieve like a top water, needs to have variables
  24. Just do it! White Chrome Black

Several guys will drop a craw trap the night before going out and try to match it the next morning.
