  1. Shane is booked, so any options are appreciated
  2. Just sent Shane an email........ I hope this works out!
  3. My L3-5 are degenerating and a few docs have wanted to go in. Short of surgery, pain management is the first option. Orthotics with heel lift Core strength Foam roller Low dose advice, keep a trace amount in your system when fishing. Don't overthrow the bait, torqueing your low back makes it worse. Massage therapy help and if it doesn't, at least it relaxes you. The list is long, so see a specialist, avoid orthopedic surgeons
  4. Howdy Folks, Just found out I am going to be in Palm Coast FL in a week and would love to hook-up with a guide or anyone who takes folks out for a day. Any help is appreciated.......it's been a long winter Thanks Al
  5. My son is 31 and starting his family, so we only head out a few times a month. My daughter who is 30 will meet me anytime and anywhere for a few hours on the water and she is competitive as all hell!. I am really looking for the grandkids to pick up a rod.
  6. Any thoughts on the new Bantam MGL? Very little on it on line....
  7. Birds have to eat too...... It happens!
  8. If you are using 22 wraps, cinch hard at the 1/2 way point and again at the end...often, if you only cinch at the end, the first few wraps don't cut in.......and a dab of super-glue is your friend
  9. BPS has an elastic shad in the salt water section with all the motion of the caffeine, but last a hell of a lot longer
  10. That was a Bennington 2250 GSR which is now retired for a Lund
  11. 5+ LM on a Dredger CB in 8 ft of water
  12. ..........side note this morning my wife was looking over my shoulder and saw me ready this thread and topic was at the top of the page., I then hear.....”why do guys talk about women on a fishing forum”? .....just saying?
  13. Not sure I follow, can you send a pic....if not not worries
  14. I think backlash proof reels will be introduced before there is a discernable difference in rods.
  15. Got to agree with Mr. turkey. I would still look to the IMX, I would also look at the classic mag series MBR 843
  16. Love mine and never had a problem
  17. Don't overlook the GLX, there is just something about it that works for me
  18. They are all that, but I see it as a technique specific rods. For all purpose, look to the GLX MBR.
  19. Congrats and thanks for sharing....
  20. I think precision is the company named in the video Precision sonar here is another option One last option
  21. Thanks, I am solo 90% of the time and needing new hips, having 8 knee surgery's, tearing the quad off a left knee, torn Achilles, reconstructed shoulder, and bad back, the Ulterra has its appeal
  22. Another vote for the GLX MBR......the most universal rod I own
  23. There are aftermarket guides that run the cable along the outside of the shafts with clearance to get it over fixed mounts
  24. Folks, I know I have been to this well before, but the dealer wants to start putting the boat together next month. I had decided in the Ulterra for 2 main reasons,......auto deeploy and ease of trimming.. Getting older with a few health issues, both reasons are appealing. My hesitation is that I would like a good pedal control and the reviews are mixed. This brought me to the Ultrex which has a great reputation for pedal control and also has the remote control, but lakes the 2 other features. I know there are a few guys like me here and are looking for some input. How much do you use the remote vs the pedal. Is the Ulterra a problem waiting to happen with the moving parts AM I missing something I should be considering Thanks in advance....Al
