Dealing with a crabby boss..
At peak this year there were 12 I was responsible for and this coming dig season upwards of 24. There were a few times this year where we had people on PTO and others who had called in at the same time and it’s VERY stressful especially at peak season. When situations like this happens of course nothing goes right those days which adds to the already stressful situation. There were times where I’m sure the missing people knew my frustration, I’ll add these people who knew my frustration are the frequent fliers when it comes to calling in. I try very very hard not to let my stress get the best of me especially towards my team but sometimes it just happens. There’s only one time where I’ve let an employee have it and that was only after he started in on me, but it happened between he and I over the phone. He was a major liability to our company and the public so I didn’t feel too bad. I have never and will never get after someone in front of anyone else. I wouldn’t look much into yet especially since you’ve had a good working relationship to this point. If it were to continue I’d be looking at options and proceed from there.

Post a photo a day!
I’ve never tried disc golf. I was in a township hall parking lot a while back and they have a course on their property. As I’m sitting there I’m watching a few people unload their gear getting ready to play a round and they all had these carts and they were full of different colored discs and some appeared to be thicker than the others. I’ve never paid attention I guess so I didn’t realize there were that many different options and tools for the sport. Probably like people who don’t fish and see all our crap. “I thought all you needed was a hook and a worm”. ?

Winter 2021/22
The heart attack snow is the absolute worst! Single stage and two stage don’t work like @gimruis said. I’ve never tried a three stage but doubtful it would make a difference. I wonder if the issue is the moisture in the snow, the cold temps, and the heat from engine creates the perfect recipe for clogging?

Looking for feed back from trolling motor owners with spot lock. Garmin, Lowrance, And Minn Kota
I’d agree Minnkota probably has the most negative reviews because they out sell the others by far, kind of like Tracker and Nitro boats. Don’t forget to look into Power Pole’s trolling motor.

New PB!!!!
I’m clueless to what is still popular and what isn’t. I know it’s popular with him and a few of his friends. We’re currently renting until our house is done and we decided to catch up with the times and get internet so this is the first time being able to play online so he may be like me and be behind the times. Lol

Coast Guard: Cape Disappointment
Watching this show some more I am absolutely amazed how many old, rickety, wooden boats there are still in use! It seemed like a lot of the disabled boat calls or taking on water calls are these old wooden boats. I’m not referring to the updated refurbished wood boats, these things look to be in pretty rough shape and barely maintained since new. I get newer boats are VERY expensive, and these boats are the livelihoods of the owners but geez it’s a roll of the dice.

Losing it ?
I can remember specific details of a 10 minutes locate I did 8-9 years ago, but I run to the store 2 minutes from my house and I call the wife and say, “what did you want from the store?”. Happens all the time!

- New PB!!!!
I get a little pale this time of year from lack of sunlight in Michigan. You know how these Michigan winters are. Hey, it’s winter, I’ll take what I can get as far a fishing goes. Fishing is done for the night, 6poundbass kicked me out of his room. Apparently Fortnight with his friends is more important than fishing with dad. ?- New PB!!!!
Fishing on lake Guntersville tonight and landed this 10lb 7oz beast! She put up a good fight. Lipless crank strikes again! Just before she hit 6poundbass got a 5lb 11oz smallie out of Gunterville too. What a memorable night for both father and son!- Any plans of another Roadtrip
It is a nice store, been a couple times, but it’s 3 hours away so I haven’t been more. I don’t think you can see it all in one trip.- New Years Eve
- Anybody down for some sparring?
I’ve sparred once and won’t do it again! I am a giant sissy (there I said it). I’ve never been in a real fight and at my age and the choices I make I doubt I ever will be. The one time I sparred was in high school and we had my baseball team over to my house the night before a Saturday tournament for a cookout. Someone had boxing gloves in their car so we said what the heck, but only sparring. Well a couple guys with little man syndrome didn’t want to spar but full on box! I had a headache for what seemed like a week, my eyelids were black and blue, and another kid got sucker punched in the back of the head in the reset button so down he went. The assistant coach who was a college freshman was there and stopped the shenanigans. Needless to say the head coach the next morning wasn’t to impressed with the way some of looked and wasn’t too pleased with some of our play either. ??? I never want to get punched in my pumpkin head again.- New Years Eve
I’m ready to kiss this godforsaken year goodbye, work wise anyways. Looking forward to 2022, our new house will be done Aprilish? Already scoping out the new lakes in the area. Career decisions to be made in the spring as well. Take the promotion or potentially take a new job with our customer? Next year will be interesting. New Year’s Eve plans? Spend a couple hours with some friends then come home try a new beer and watch Michigan beat Georgia!- Tackle warehouse scam
I know there is a tennis warehouse and I think a ski or skate warehouse under the same umbrella.- Any plans of another Roadtrip
Scoreboard!- Winter 2021/22
We’ve gotten a couple inches in the last 24 hours and looking at 6-8 Sunday.- Coast Guard: Cape Disappointment
I found this show on Peacock TV and have been binge watching. I’m glad to see they made a show following the Coast Guard. I’ve watched shows following Navy EOD, and Army medivac personal and this is the first I’ve seen one following the US Coast Guard. They wear many hats, and doesn’t seem to be a dull moment that’s for sure! Check it out, it’s worth the watch!- The Perfect Gift?
At least you didn’t get her a vacuum or exercise equipment like some I’ve known over the years. Notice how I used the word ‘known’ (past tense)? They all mysteriously disappeared never to be seen or heard from again. ?- So I Received a Christmas Bonus...
All I got was a one year membership to the jelly of the month club.- The New Tech

I’m with ya. Last week actually was the first time someone has gotten a hold of my card number. I got a text from my bank asking if I made a purchase of $.37 at a photography store in Kanas. I replied no and the immediately shut down the card. Same thing happened to the wife three weeks ago. After talking with the fraud department with my bank they lady said this is the crooks MO is get a card number try a tiny purchase under $1 and see what happens. Our bank seems to be pretty on top of things. When we started using Walmart pick up two years ago they were asking if we made the purchase because it shows Arkansas when we’re in Michigan. Any time there’s suspicious activity they notify us. It can be a PITA but this is actually the first time in 10 or so years with them someone has actually gotten our card numbers. Not bad I’d say.- Off until next year.!!
My last day was the 17th and won’t go back until the 3rd. I can roll over 24hrs a year but I increased my PTO to three weeks which is more than enough so I decided to burn it all! I’ve been home with 6poundbass as he’s on Christmas break from school. I’ve been playing Betty Crocker and making things here and there. The wife moved a couple groomings around so we had Tuesday to ourselves for a little family day trip. Since I’m the supervisor at work I’m still working at night and fielding a few phone calls each day which is a far cry from the 30+ I normally take. And now the wife and I have the crud…..a nice sinus infection to enjoy for Christmas. That’s been my time off up to this point. - New PB!!!!
