  1. First time Fury owner here as well. While I haven’t used mine nearly as much as I’d like to so far this year, I’m very impressed with it and will be adding more in the future. I’m also thankful for the help from so many happy Dobyns owners on here.
  2. Have always been a ZZ Top fan.
  3. I don’t use Panoptix but I’ve been very happy with my Garmin Echomap 93SV UHD with the GT-54.
  4. The Haulover inlet YouTube videos have some nice boats too, and plenty of idiots spearing waves and some even swamping their boats.
  5. Pics are required after it’s done.
  6. I’m liking the Zman football head too. The Power Pole trolling motor looks nice too....oh wait. ?
  7. It’s a little dusty in here. Sorry for your loss. Hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.
  8. You’re not supposed to hit those Clayton. ?
  9. They’ve said before that these places pony up the coin to have these events here. Infrastructure is another reason.
  10. The G2N shares waypoints as well doesn’t it?
  11. Big question is your Helix units network compatible? Do they say G2N anywhere on them? I believe it was 3-4 years ago that the Helix 7’s were made network compatible.
  12. Doing split screen on a 4 would be pretty tight but if that’s what the OP had to do I guess it would work.
  13. Do the Striker units have flasher mode? Are they capable of split screen? I don’t or haven’t vertically fished yet but I’ve seen my lures just screwing around and saw my lure but I have a 93SV and was using a 3/8oz jig. Flasher mode should show just about anything. So if you are capable of split screen (I know it’s a 4CV) you could do 2d and flasher.
  14. I just watched it and I agree as well. I do think some of my setups are a little overkill on line size due to most being braid. He made a point on it that gave me an ahh Ha moment. Casting with FC the lure comes off the reel a bit slower thus giving you more accurate casts. I never paid attention to this until he said something. I have only two FC setups, spinnerbait and one for a swim jig. I feel like a dam pro when I’m casting those two! I guess I now know why. I don’t like the stretch at all with FC but man can I be pretty dang accurate with it. I might have to add more to my arsenal. His skipping video is what helped me finally tame that beast. The more videos I watch of his the bigger a fan I become.
  15. For those of you who missed the good sales on the Echomap 93SV UHD earlier this year, this is the best deal I’ve found. I ordered my first one from them. Extremely fast shipping. NOTE this is the GT-54 transducer not the new GT-56. I’ve been happy with everything so far. https://www.bassfishinelectronics.com/collections/new-garmin-units
  16. I’ve seen the air show on Shark Week a couple years ago. Those big fish can get some serious air!
  17. Zip tie that puppy shut! No more open door and no more bills! You’re welcome.
  18. I believe the guy holding the pooch is Fletcher Shryock. I’m not seeing the main man Manuel though.
  19. Only way I can catch anything.
  20. I usually go with a 20lb braid, but I use an UL rod to add a little excitement to the situation. Whales are kind of like walleye when it comes to reeling them in, not much fight and kind of like just pulling dead weight. ?
  21. So sharks are hitting top water too? ?
  22. Aren’t the suspended ones the hardest to catch?
  23. From my understanding, the part he is or was a bit upset about was he approached BASS when the schedule came out about the conflict and BASS said we will address it at a later time, because when the schedule was released things were still up in the air regarding COVID especially in New York. It was possible the site for this tournament would be moved outside of New York. It sounds like BASS kicked the can down the road and waited until the very last minute to make their decision. I don’t believe Cox was looking or expecting special treatment, he was just looking for an answer.
  24. Didn’t bring the cranking rod with me. I had two 11 year olds in tow so I played it safe. There was a 72. In front. ?
