  1. I have 4 Curado E series and 2 Curado I series. Never had an issue with them. Very reliable as long as you keep them maintained. That being said, I just bought a Tatula CT. Just wanted to try something different. Haven't spooled line on it yet, but looking forward to using it. Honestly, I think you'll be good whatever you decide. People have nothing but good things to say about both reels.
  2. I use the 1/4 oz RES almost exclusively. They catch big fish too. The only time I use the 1/2 oz is when fishing water 5 ft or deeper. And that's very seldom.
  3. Yeah, it's a big bait which made me leery of buying one. But watching the videos of the action got me hooked, lol.
  4. Seems to me that's gonna be a hard thing to find. Anything big enough to stand in is gonna be hard or impossible to carry by hand. I've fished outta a 12 ft jon boat for 20 yrs now. It's easy to load/unload from the back of my truck. And all I need is a battery, 30 lb trolling motor, seat cushions & my fishing gear. Plenty roomy when it's just me, but cramped with 2 people. Not too stable for standing either. Another option is is one of the little 10 ft plastic pontoon boats like a Pond Prowler or Bass Raider. There's a whole thread on here of people who really rig those things up nicely. Those little boats are stable & you can stand up in them, plus they have nice comfy seats that sit up kinda high. But they are really limited for space, especially with 2 people and fishing gear. And my experience is they don't steer the best with the trolling motor. Good news is both options are relatively inexpensive. Good luck in your search.
  5. It's hard for me not to pick up a few Baby 1 minuses and Redeye Shads every time I stop by a bps. They aren't the best price but always have colors seldom seen elsewhere.
  6. Yep. I've been numerous times. Best part for me has been meeting some of my fishing heros, no doubt. Met Rick Clunn, Edwin Evers & Timmy Horton on other occasions.
  7. Yeah it was. Got him to sign a hat right next to Bill Dance's signature. He said Bill was a good friend of his. I also asked him if fishing MLF was as fun for him as it was for us to watch it. He said it was stressful, but definitely suited his style of fishing.
  8. Plus this other guy in the black & red jersey. ?
  9. Went to Bass Pro to meet KVD & dad gummit, the bait monkey got me. Couldn't resist RES on sale & also succumbed to a Stutterstep. Plus, Bass Pro is only place local to get chrome/black baby 1 minus. Well on my way to appearing in an episode of hoarders.
  10. ???? I gotta start collecting antique lures.
  11. If I start losing a lotta fish, 1st thing I look at is my hooks. 99% of the time, my hooks are dull & time to change em out.
  12. And here's the modern version.........
  13. Definitely. Ooh to be young & single again. Maybe getting fresh outta college with a marketing degree & having fished the college series. Yeah.... I'd def fish em both. Lol.
  14. I got 2 extreme rods. Love em both.
  15. I think fishing both the Elites & FLW is probably too much for most anglers. Gotta figure they're never home which would be tough if you have a family & kids. I think Hackney was doing it for a couple of seasons too, but I don't think he has recently. Might've been too demanding to fish both.
  16. Mike....... buddy........ you know you can trust me. ? Jk, I'd help ya out if I didn't live all the way over in MS.
  17. I got same exact one been using for 15+ years.
  18. Dang. That's a lotta funerals for a whole year. Sorry you've been having a rough go as of late. Thoughts & prayers.
  19. I use chrome black. Not sure I even have a chrome w/ blue back. But chrome Sexy Shad Redeye Shad is one of my go to baits. It just about always catches fish.
  20. Oh yeah. I've caught many a bass on Culprit tequila sunrise & moccasin colors.
  21. Good little humorous story. And ain't none of it true. ??
  22. Ha! Not an inhaler, but I learned the hard way. Decided to try the big, wide tip sharpie one day figuring it would be easier to apply. 2 days later I could still smell the solvent on my line from the sharpie. Not sure, but could've damaged the line as well so I cut that couple of ft of line off my spool. Never had a problem with the regular sharpies tho.
  23. You think they're having fun being catatonic in a closet?!!!
  24. Black with red glitter.
