  5. I disagree with the hack part , I seen some of those footballs this spring! I bet you can still hang with them. now for me they would say OLD HACK!!
  6. feels good to be back home in Indiana. this past couple of days has been the first two evenings back on local farm ponds and lakes. got 10 the first evening and 14 tonight. nothing to big to brag about , all in the one to two pound range. ned rig pb&j , whopper plopper, and green pumpkin stick worm, seemed to be what was working. always fun to catch them no matter the size!.
  7. never quit maybe there is more, and like the others have said now you know she is there!!
  8. beautiful scenery! looks like you had a nice day on the water, great pics!
  9. I thought that I would like the eclipses ,and I did. but the 9 hrs. it took me to cross Kentucky on the way home from bama because everyone decended on Nashville was torcher.i did feel better knowing that there are a whole bunch of people out there that are crazier than me.
  10. bama was stormy and wet lots of lightning, didn't get to fish a lot. still love going tho. a calm evening sky on lay lake
  11. spots are great especially on top water . warning! they do fight back after in the boat , I have picked out a few treble hooks. ouch! nice fish! cusa river chain in bama is excellent for them.
  12. I'm coming to lay lake 1 couple of weeks in august. throw some ice in the water for me! we usually fish rocky points using a greenpumkin red finess worm on bullet or football shacky head. also rattling roug or red eyed shad seems to work. and usually just before dark a pop r next to weeds isn't bad. looking forward to bama I always have fun.
  13. got to love it when they tug back! heart rate deffinatly goes up. NICE FISH!
  14. I love berkley power bait blue fleck worm. I don't what it is about it but here in southern Indiana the bass love it espscially when you throw it right against the bank and barely twitch it off. or drag it off a patch of moss and let it fall. I have went thru several packs this year.
  15. welcome! great story. I love creek fishing, you never know what you are going to hook. it's a blast!!
  16. i'm proud to be a member! and enjoy and am thankful for the friendships I have made. as well as the great info shared. congrats on a great site! I once was told if you have a single strand of thread that it is not very strong ,if you add a second strand it makes it better, with a third you now have a brayded cord being much stronger . looks to me as if we have created an unbreakable rope. may your friendships and relationships be the same
  17. just wanted to say thanks GHOTI. if everyone else is like me I think that we are getting just as much enjoyment seeing these fine people receive these rods. they certainly deserve it!
  18. with my disabilities I have to be careful. the sensitivity in my hands are weak. on he first trip with my new g loomis imx and revo stx a fish pulled it right out of my hands. I was lucky enough to grab it before it got away. my heart stopped for a moment I think. if I would have lost it the lake water level would have raised from a grown man crying.
  19. welcome from indiana
  20. welcome tyler! I have been to grand rapids and visited newholland ,that is a beautiful area . looks like you have a lot of water to play in.
  21. if I were fishing in a kayak the only whopping and plopping would be me! the way I feel any more on this medicine. its so bad the bass would be buying go pros just so they could win the $10,000 on Americas funniest home vidios. cool looking catch!! gonna going to have to get me one. absolutely love top water bite!
  22. had the same thing happen to me in bama. it's spooky when the line just floats in the air. I left rather quickly!
