  1. i have used suffix 832, power pro original?, and plan tab 8. plan is very thin, but 832 wins anyone use tcb8 by pline?
  2. 7'l" Med mod is a great rod for trebles and light wire hooks, out an arachnid in 6.3 and you are set for all trebles, senkos, and light wire swim jigs. i use mine for fishing jerkbaits mid winter and swim jig in the spring-fall its just more versatile
  3. i use 1/4 oz tungsten round weights by eco pro
  4. I have 400G hamlins in both green and blue mirror. Blue is great for offshore with a lot of glare reflecting off the water. great in saltwater. Green is great for sight fishing, and fishing in shallow water. Id get green but blue looks better.
  5. kid finesse double willow works great gold when cloudy silver when sunny 1/4oz in under 8' 12-15lb floro
  6. Several close calls while swimming have made me terrified of being in the water. I also sink like a rock (5% body fat will do that), but I am in extremely good shape and could likely tread water for an hour if need be. I always avoid swimming, but always stay near shore and if not i wear my life vest. I don't go out in the boat when hypothermia is a possibility and if i am way offshore, i wear a pfd. Also, my home lake is like 4' deep so i can just stand lol. All it takes is one close call and you'll wear your pfd/be more careful...
  7. Anyone know of power plant lakes near southeast pa?
  8. how much was your employee discount?
  9. That answers my question. Thank you very much
  10. i used flies for panfish in clear water with no success once...
  11. I tried to make an order today for $74.71. I had a $50 tacklewarehouse gift card and a $25 Visa did card. I placed the order and got a confirmation. Later on, I got an email saying: Greetings from Tackle Warehouse! The billing information we received with your order does not match the address your credit card company has on file. For your protection, Tackle Warehouse verifies the billing address you provided and matches the address on file with your bank. The correct billing address for your credit card can be obtained from your bank statement or by contacting your bank. Once you have verified your billing address with your bank, please contact us with the correct information via e-mail to info@tacklewarehouse.com or call 1-800-300-4916. Your order will be shipped as soon as the updated information has been received and your credit card has been successfully charged. If we do not hear from you within 48 hours the order will be canceled. Thank you for choosing Tackle Warehouse! WHAT DO I DO? i have never used visa cards before and I am quite confused.
  12. I live in PA and need to have a certificate saying that i passed an exam and pay 10$ for the card that says so. An online course is 35$. Once i pass this course, am i free to boat in any other us state?
  13. Yes, but i would get the 7'1" M Mod not the 6'9" as it is more versatile. I am not sure, but i have heard better reviews on the hm64 but im8 is still very good for a 100$ rod.
  14. ok thank you, that was one of the questions i hadn't answered yet. what about covers for driving an using while the boat is in the water ad it rains?
  15. there are two models, one is the 7'1" Medium Power Moderate Action the is labeled as a "crankbait" rod. There is also a 6'9" Medium Power Fast Action rod labeled as a "topwater/jerkbait" rod. I would suggest trading in the crankshaft, which uses a lower quality blank, and getting either of those rods. Also consider a 7'6" H or 7'3" H ZX as they are great rods.
  16. that zx is a great tw/jerkbait rod, especially with a slow retrieve. It is also great for finesse swim jigs and senkos.
  17. Although you stated that you want a Heavy power, I would suggest a MH rated for 1/4 - 1.5 ounces. The 7'3" MH *** Black is a great rod for 130$. that is what i use for frogs, with 50 lb braid in everything but ultra heavy cover. A 7'6" MH or H is good too. Check out the dobyns fury or cabbalas tournament zx which is on sale for 70$
  18. Thank you for your thoughtful response. I plan on buying electronics for the best deal i can get, so your advice is very valid. Also, i like the idea of installing the aftermarket stuff myself, as long as i am able to do so effectively. I will be using my dad's new Ford F150 when i can, But usually my Fj Cruiser will be used the most. Is that too small to go without brakes? I planning on driving a lot with it, not just to local waters. Do you think they are necessary?
  19. They are great rods for the price, and the lifetime no questions asked warranty is even better. Speaking of Cabala's, there is a Lews Superduty for 100$ in the bargain cave. it is brand new.
  20. Here is the message that I sent to my local ranger dealer. Am i missing anything? In the near future, I would like to purchase an aluminum bass boat. I am considering the Ranger RT188 , but am open to other suggestions. I am only 16, and will be working very hard until I save up the money to buy my first bass boat. I hope to have the money by next fall. I am not certain that this is a realistic goal, but I am prepared to do everything in my power to purchase this boat. I am interested in several upgrades. I also have several questions as well. First of all, will the Ranger RT188 be a good fit for medium to large lakes and rivers in up to semi-rough weather. I do not plan on fishing Lake Ontario in the middle of a storm, but I do want to open up and start fishing the bigger water bodies nearby. I have been told that I can maximize fuel efficiency by purchasing the biggest engine rated for that boat. The Ranger Rt188 is rated for a 155 horsepower engine and I plan on getting the Mercury® FourStroke 115ELPT Pro XS Command Thrust. My friend has this same setup and loves it. I am also interested in purchasing the boat with the "necessities" and upgrading/purchasing the other stuff later on when money is less tight. I Was thinking of getting upgraded aluminum wheels, trailer brakes, a painted spare, trailer tie downs, a boat cover, and lastly a 70 lb thrust Minn Kota Edge. In the future, I would like to add a front deck step, second console, an extra rod strap, and console/bow electronics. Can I purchase the boat and make the additional upgrades later? I do a lot of vertical fishing in Northern lakes, so having a good fish finder is useful. also, I might need a GPS for larger lakes and making waypoints. What graphs do you recommend for this? Finally, this will be my first boat with an outboard, and I have heard that a jack plate is helpful, nut I am not certain what its use is. Is having a manual jack plate necessary? Thank you for your time, I realize that you are likely very busy. I appreciate your response. I am beyond ecstatic at the chance of purchasing a bass boat in the near future! Thank you for the thoughtful response. I could not agree more with what you have said.
  21. I have a 55 transom endura max and a power drive v2 55 and it works fine. I get about 5mph just me on max thrust. I would keep the other boat and get a mounting bracket and switch out the bow mount as you go.
