  1. Not once did the op mention anything about rapids or storage. He wanted stability. Did not bash kayaks. Just said I didn't understand the obsession with them. Sorry that you and I don't agree with something. And btw around here a bass raider is $250-$300 but i know at places like bass pro they are double that price. Sorry for getting everybody riled up
  2. That's a good slot right there. Can think of a lot of places near me that could benefit from that
  3. Compound, recurve, or long bow, arrows with the flu-flu vanes on them, and then a g5 small game head or innerloc falcon claw broadhead. Nearly silent, the arrows don't travel far with the flu-flu vanes on them and the 2 broadheads I've listed are great for small game and prevent you from passing through your target but still delivering a lethal hit with minimal penetration. 4. I was a big athlete in high school and very competitive still to this day. I love fishing tournaments. If you have the spare time and cash, it's really fun for a competitive guy like me.
  5. I would suggest 30lb braid. A 30 or 3000 size reel is fairly large and will hold a lot of line. I would even add a little backing And then put about 75 yards of braid on. That way you could fill 2 reels with one spool of braid.
  6. What length and power rod and what size spinning reel do you plan to use. Also what weight spinnerbait? But as mentioned 10lb is too light for any type of cover.
  7. Never understood the infatuation with kayaks and paddle boards. Anything they can do, a 8-10 foot plastic bass boat can do almost as well or better. And they are the most stable small water crafts I've ever been on. And they can be had for a couple hundred dollars instead of close to 1,000 or more for a decent kayak.
  8. Most people think of florida, texas, california for largemouth. I live in the "Midwest" and would rate the fishing as good but not great.
  9. Butt weighted worm around any significant structure or cover. I like the reaction innovations pocket rocket with a 3/16 ounce voss screw in weight into the tail of the worm. 4/0 g-lock ewg hook and 50lb braid or 17-20lb fluorocarbon depending on wood and rocks and clarity. It should slip through and vegetation and come out cleaner than a normal Texas rig in my experience.
  10. I fish 2 fuego rods with good success. A 7' heavy and 8' heavy. Both have heavy braid on them and I haven't had a problem...yet. I got them from Wal-Mart for around 55 bucks. If/when they fail I'm not out full msrp so it won't be so bad. I'm a sucker for full cork handles so that's what sold me.
  11. Tatula sv. Had my 10 year old daughter making 45' casts within 3 minutes of picking it up yesterday
  12. A bit higher. My fury's are my most sensitive rods in my opinion
  13. I've had unbalanced combos before and they seemed very un-sensitive. Just my .02
  14. If we are eating my one year old "barks" and "grunts" at us until we give him some of our food. Even if he just ate or if we are feeding him his own. My 10 year old doesn't eat left overs, even stuff that is good re-heated. Which is fine by me because that means more left overs for me lol
  15. Bass weren't cooperating well so we took some dough balls and caught some catfish
  16. Berkley havoc grass pig Berkley pit boss Big bite baits craw
  17. I haven't ever done it. But I've watched YouTube videos. I think The guy just took a normal hook and "nose" hooks it. Then fishes it like a jerkbait
  18. Northlake tackle reed runner. With a grass pig swimbait trailer.
  19. Depending on rod length just above the first guide
  20. Yes he did.
  21. This is a 72lb Carp. The guy is 6'4 220. I'd say yours is in the 60lb range easy.
  22. A 50 inch carp weighs about 50lbs.
  23. Same thing as day time for me. One of my top producers at night is a drop shot
