New Senko Setup
My "senko" setup is a duckett micro magic 7ft mh with a tatula sv on it and I absolutely love it. The castability and price of the sv makes it very nice for skipping light jigs and texas rigs akong with stickbaits.

Big fan of vortex scopes. 1x4 would be suitable amd help with moving targets.
- Do I need a Med Moderate Action Casting Rod?

68 Special - Fury FR795SB or iRod Swimbait Jr?
Just a suggestion with no experience. But what about a daiwa dx swimbait rod. Heavy or xtra heavy.

Contact your local atf representative. DO NOT ask just any police officer. At minimum ask a state police officer as most firearm laws are regulated by state. Not county or township

when to use certain lines with certain rods...
For the baits you listed I like a rod rated 1/4 up to 1 ounce with something like 20lb seaguar senshi, 15lb big game, or 40lb braid. Just with braid I set my drag a bit lighter and use a sweeping hook set instead of a cross their eyes hook set.

- Winter Project: Skipping
Release the bait as Horizantal as possible amd practice on a concrete floor while standing on a step stool or chair to replace the deck of the boat. The biggest thing that helped me was buy a reel with the sv spool amd learning on it then taking what I learned to my other reels.- Targeting?
I am always trying to catch what i think is a "big" bass for whatever body of water I'm fishing. That ranges from 3-10lbs.- (Un)official Hoosiers Thread
We were very cold riding the wheelers to our first pit. This fish was the first of the day. They were still hitting the whopper plopper fairly well before the sun fully came out.- Two questions about spinnerbaits
10lb is too light. 12-15lb minimum. Spinnerbaits have heavy wire jig hooks that take a quality line to drive the hook into skin and bone.- Post a photo a day!
Beautiful fish!- (Un)official Hoosiers Thread
Oir biggest one of the morning. Hitting all moving baits. Cant get one to eat a jig! Cold 4 wheeler ride in 30 degree weather. But water temps are around 60 degrees- line for long distance spinning
Big fan of seaguar senshi if you can find it.- Medium or MH for this new rod?
I'll be the odd man out and say medium heavy.- Recommend some line for me!
- Missing with the Toadrunner
I also have struggled with this frog. I was disappointed they put trokar hooks on them. Maybe over the winter I will switch them out for regular frog hooks. I too habe had good blow ups with few fish landed.- (Un)official Hoosiers Thread
Anybody have an idea on water temps? Or a website to check water temps near me? I tried to fins temps for patoka but they were from early october before the cold snap. Headed out Sunday to either bluegrass or an awesome private pit- Only one Curado DC in your arsenal, what technique do you use it on?
Mine would be jerkbaits. Just because they are thrown a lot on windy days and cold temps meaning controlling your cast due to conditions and cold fingers may be more difficult.- What drop shot plastic styles?
3.5 inch swimbait. 2.5 inch craw, lizzard are some of my not so main stream favorites.
