Dobyns Sierra 735C for Frog , Flip & Punch ?
I completely agree with your train of thought. Although I dont have the sierra 735 I have some fury 735's and I use one for frogging and pitching. But I could easily take off the braid and put fluoro or mono on the reel and use it for 3/4 ounce spinnerbait and chatterbaits, big topwaters, Carolina rigs, or other bottom contact lures. Where as if I had a 766 I feel like I could only use it for 1/2 ounce or bigger frogs, punching, and super heavy pitching/flipping.

9:1 Gear Ratio
Anything over a 7 speed reel gets pitching, texas/Carolina rig, punching, buzzbait, and frog duty.

Bought first baitcaster (FuegoCT) - setup, line, out of the box tips?
Also, the magforce z brakes are opposite of most other reels in the fact that the spool tension is your rough tuner and the magnetic brakes is your fine tuner.

That is just what is suggested by Brent ehler, daiwa pro. And I have noticed that line types do effect the way that the spool behaves. Braid I can run the spool tension a bit more loose than fluoro or mono. Same with line diameters, I can run 12lb fluoro more loose than 25lb fluoro.

These reels are completely different than any other casting reel. Set magnetic dial to 0, set spool tension to the spot where it just takes side to side play out of the spool. Then, put brakes on 20 and back them off from there. (Making smooth casting strokes, not a whipping motion like spinning rods) You should not have to touch the spool tension from here on out. Ever. Unless you change line types. Adjust your magnetic brakes when changing lures or during windy conditions. If you set up your reel the same as a regular reel you will not like it and have problems with it. Follow my instructions and your reel should perform great. Feel free to pm me with questions. I own 7 reels with the magforce z braking system.

Izorline xxx or Big Game
Memory really shouldn't be an issue if using cxx or big game in 20lb test with a 200 size or bigger reel for swimbaits. Especially if you use a little line conditioner. I have never used izorline so cannot comment on it.

What's your current favorite lure?
My favorite as of right this second is a magnum rage bug on a 5/0 flipping hook, with a 3/8 ounce weight pegged on 22lb sunline fluoro with my dobyns 735 and tatula ct.

Finesse rig...
Like tom mentioned, its hard to narrow down exactly what finesse fishing is and isn't. To me finesse fishing doesn't just mean light weights and small baits, it's more of a speed and action, or lack there of, than weight and hook/bait size. If I'm throwing a drop-shot and I know thats the hot bite, I'm usually throwing 1/4 or 3/8 ounce weight with a 1/0 hook and a weedless rigged worm, craw, or lizzard on 12lb fluoro or mono and a medium power casting rod. If I am new to a lake or am not sure of the hot bite I will rig a spinning rod with 10-15lb braid with a 10lb mono leader with a drop shot, and rig the previously mentioned casting rod with a 1/4 ounce jig or senko style bait. Along with my other 5-7 rods with other stand by baits. One advantage of spinning rods that I see in my style of fishing is the fact that I usually work the bait less and retrieve my casts slower and casting into the wind with <1/4 ounce baits.

Help Me Choose a Reel
I habe tried both the lfs and fuego ct...I still have the 3 fuegos. 1 in every ratio. The magforce z braking system is awesome, different to set up than a normal baitcaster, but super beneficial when done correctly. The lews reels aren't bad by any means, but for me, the best fit was the fuego ct. My personal favorite is the tatula ct or tatula ct type r.

Question about new reel "fade out"
Set spool tension to barley any side to side play, put mag breaks around 12 or 14 and back them down from there. On all my reels with the magforce z brakes I dont have to touch the spool tension. Just the mag brakes.

Finesse Jigs That Skip Well

Plastic Worm Fishing
I learned how to fish a wacky rig a senko when I was about 10 or 11. Fished the heck out of it because it caught fish and some big ones too. Fast forward a few years later I really enjoyed fishing a stick worm or trick worm texas rigged with an 1/8th ounce weight. Now some of my favorite ways to fish and the technique that brought me my pb is fishing offshore cover/structure with a 7 inch texas rigged senko with a 3/8th ounce weight or a 12" or bigger worm with a 3/8 to 3/4 ounce weight depending on depth and wind. Just a couple I caught on a weighted texas rigged stick worm a few years back

Anyone running an all electric boat?
We fish a lot of our pits with no gas motor, there are 25hp motors on all of the 4 or 5 boats we have stashed in the pits, but only use them if a storm blows in or any other kind of emergency. All of the boats ar 16-18 ft big john flat bottom john boats with 50lb thrust transom trolling motors. The other boat I fish out of is a 21 ft stratos with a brand new mercury 225 on the back. Its a lot of fun, but much more expensive.

G Loomis IMX 904fpr reviews?
Cant find much on any site referring to this particular model. Am the leading bidder for one and just want to know if I should raise my bid if i end up getting outbid before the auction ends. Only looking for experiences with that certain rod, not what I should be buying instead.

Want to try big game mono
15lb big game would work well for the applications mentioned. Thats what I would prefer, although 12lb would probably do the job just fine
