  1. Have it on a lightweight 16 inch barrel ar. My home defense gun.
  2. I have had good luckk with vortex red dots.
  3. Absolutely nothing but braid for me when I'm throwing a frog.
  4. My favorite tiny humans in the world
  5. Fluoro and mono have much more stretch than braided lines.
  6. P line cxx Big game Hi seas grand slam Maxima ultra green
  7. If You are dead set on using fluoro, I say medium heavy either moderate or moderate fast whichever the rod is rated. If using braid (which I love for cranks because you get better feel and more depth) I say medium.
  8. Wow. Great bass. What a beauty!
  9. One of my favorite rods for throwing up to an ounce weight and jig is the dobyns fury 735 and 765 flip. Have also been looking at the Powell endurance 775. If you like a shorter rod the 7'3 heavy Lews tp-1 speed stick is really nice for about $100
  10. The dobyns rods are said to be some of the most balanced rods around. But their powers run light. St croix are known to run stiffer. My suggestion would be the dobyns 734. Its on of the most versatile rods out there in that pricepoint
  11. How heavy of weights are you looking to throw? And price point?
  12. Good to know. Glad I didn't lead someone in the wrong direction.
  13. Did you set this reel up like a normal baitcaster or did you use the method required when a magforce z braking system is present.
  14. I always say a pink buzzbait over deep trees
  15. Roboworm zipper worm, lake fork ring fry,
  16. The only time I'm not focusing on the bottom when fishing a worm or jig is when throwing a swim jig or bladed swim jig. Any other time I am letting my bait fall on semi slack line to the bottom. So I fish a jig and worm very similar.
  17. I am a big fan of Daiwa. Especially the ct style reels. Its all I own. But don't have a problem with shimano reels either. Just not my favorite.
  18. I would be surprised if we get much ice at all this year. Maybe a thin sheet on the smaller, shaded ponds and pockets.
  19. I select rod power and line size by the cover and technique I'm using. Not by the size of the fish I'm catching
  20. Also 3 times the price. But I have also fished the curado and wasnt blown away with it at all. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.
  21. If I found a rod a really like at 7'8 to 8' I would definitely use it to throw a c-rig, swinging jigs and football jigs. I use a 7'5 now and could stand to use a bit longer rod.
  22. I have never used a snell with anything but braid. Had been curious about trying it with fluorocarbon until I didnt snell my punch rig one tourney and my hook up ratio was 100% so now I just use a palomar for braid and San Diego jam for fluoro and mono
