Pitching with Fluorocarbon
I use a 7'3 tp1 to pitch with and I use and fg knot or alberto just fine. Really only need about a 5ft leader at most and it won't even touch the guides. Sensitivity will probably be better because braid is the most sensitive line. Good luck on trying the tips.

How Many Rods?
I fish out of a 16' jon boat with a small 4x4 platform in the front. My rods aren't technically "on the deck" they are leaned on the deck with the butt of the rods on the bottom of the boat. I usually lean against a small pedestal seat or just stand on the platform. Lucky enough for me my friend I fish with runs the tiller handled gas motor and trolling motor so all I have to do is fish lol. I got it made.

“G-lock” style worm hooks
I only fish with gamakatsu g-lock ewg hooks when I use an ewg. I haven't noticed any drop in hookups and I think they year up the plastic less. My favorite hook for everything besides punching/pitching with braid

Pitching with Fluorocarbon
More brakes, less tension. Practice, practice, practice. Kvd line and lure. Possibly learn to tie the alberto or fg knot and run braid to fluoro. Use a heavier weight to practice with than you would normally use to get a good long pitch. Work on your mechanics and really focus on being smooth. Follow through. Hope some of these tips help

I prefer sunline assassin for cranking

Rod for C rigs
How heavy of a weight do you plan on throwing? I throw 1/2 up to 1 is sinkers in a carolina rig and use a 7'4 heavy. If going over 1/2 ounce of use the heavy.

Estimate the weight
Thats a better pic. Nice fish

Estimate the weight
Looks to be Maybe a 3lber to me. Usually whatever a fisherman estimates a fish at its 1-2 pounds less. These are all 4lb or bigger. These are all 4lb or bigger.

Fixing/replenishing a pond... (bass are tiny)
Hard to catch big bass if you are targeting gills and small bass.

Fixing/replenishing a pond... (bass are tiny)
Maybe you're not targeting the areas where the big fish are.

Steps for a great day of fishing
Nice!

Fixing/replenishing a pond... (bass are tiny)
How big is the pond? My suggestion would be to start keeping and eating more bass from there. About 15 years ago We moved to the country and the neighbors had a 2 acre farm pond. It was full of small bass. I started keeping a good amount of bass a year and even after the first summer I could tell quality was getting better with nearly the same quanity. I'm another case, my friend owns a 65 acre pit that has great bass, crappie, and bluegill fishing. One year we noticed all the bass under 18" were getting paper thin. That fall we took out 500 crappie and over 100 bass and 200 bluegill. It sounds like a lot but really it was just a small dent. The pit had gotten over populated and was starting to stunt all the fish. In just a few years time we have noticed the quality in all 3 species listed jump up tremendously. My suggestion would be to keep some smaller fish and see if you notice a difference.

How often do you guys get skunked?
I rarely get skunked, but I fish a lot less than a lot of these guys. If I fished a few times a week it would happen more. But i only get a few hours a week. I don't catch a lot of fish, but the ones I do are nice ones. My last tourney we only caught may be 20 fish in 12 hrs. But 6 of the 20 we're over 4lbs. And 3 of them were over 5

First team tourney
Don't put regular ice in your live well water. Just freeze some Gatorade bottles full of water and throw them in. Scale and cull tags are a must in my opinion. Fishing is a game of ounces.

Falcon rods ???
Falcon makes great rods. I have a falcon Bucoo sr and it's one of my favorite. They are really light and like you said feel good in the hand. Hardly anyone talks about them but they are definitely worth $100

in search of larger soft creature baits.
Love the magnum bug and recently picked up some of the big pit boss'. Could not believe how big of a hook those things would hold.

Post a photo a day!

Trilene XT
Seaguar senshi is a very well handling mono. Very very thin per lb test.

Best deep cranking rod for under $150?
Cabelas tourney crankshaft 7'5 mh. Have thrown everything from 2.5 squarebills, 1/2 ounce lipless, all the way up to an 8xd style bait

Shimano chronarch for frogs
Nah, I'll recommend 2 of them. Lol. But in all honesty, if it's comfortable to fish with and has the gear ratio you desire, any reel would be sufficient.

Do I need a medium action Rod
I own 2 medium power baitcasters. One for finesse jigs and shakey heads and the other for drop shot. I pick up these rods the least amount in my arsenal. They are great rods and perform well, but not too versatile. If you are looking to add to your arsenal Then that would be the rod I would be looking to add. But if you are just curious if you have your bases covered, I would say you're good to go.

Knot geeks: which snell knot and which not to use?
I only snell using braid and only when pitching or punching when using a straight shank hook. I use a version that bub tosh uses (seen on youtube). Through the front of the eye, make a loop, 3-5 turns around shank between eye and keeper, then back through the loop created. Never have had a break off. Also using 50-65lb braid so I didn't expect to break off either. Some people don't like a snell but i like it because I have noticed a difference in where my hook is stuck in the fish. Right in the hard part of the roof of the mouth.

The Daiwa roundup
I own 6 Of these reels. I was really impressed with all of them and will continue to buy them until my aresnal is full. Let a fishing buddy cast my setups in the yard yesterday and he couldn't believe how smooth and solid they felt. Then his jaw really hit the floor when I told him the price they can be had for online. He uses a lot of $200+ Shimanos and thought the daiwas felt better to him. Good honest review. I'm sure this will help someone with a purchase whether it's for a daiwa ct or another reel
