C'mon G Loomis! Where's your BFS rods?
I didn't know about the 841c. I have been using my GLX 842 mbr with an Alphas Air, and it's a killer setup for light stuff. I use 3/32 Neds, 1/8 shaky heads, and grubs on it and it's fantastic. Is that 841 like and MBR taper?

New to BFS, found the reel, what rod and line?
I’d check out the Phenix Feather light power rod. Good for neds, top water, small cranks, jerkbaits, and I have fun w 4” wacky stick baits too.

BFS reels and line?
Braid on a bfs reel is the only way I roll. 8lb power pro to a 6-8lb fc leader. Impossible to get any dig, the spool is so shallow it can’t happen. 8lb power pro is crazy thin, and fun to fish with. Almost no drag in the water.

Big Swimbaits in Pike and Musky Waters
I use this too thanks to A Jay, it works great.

Yes another question about a rod
If you get a L or ML power rod 7'-7'3" you're golden. Just switch to 8lb braid, and you can cast so much farther and easier with better sensitivity.

NEW G Loomis GLX just dropped!
I got my hands on an 843mbr and the 822 drop shot rod. I can’t compare the spinning rod, but I can do a direct comparison to the last version GLX 843 MBR. New version has a different cork back handle and reel seat. The 2024 843 feels about the same stiffness wise but may be a touch lighter in weight. They are beautiful in person, look super slick. GLX are my favorite rods, and these seem fantastic to me. Coming from a person who regularly fishes 5 different GLX rods.

NEW G Loomis GLX just dropped!
The recent, past GLX reel seats are very comfortable for me. I use Zillion G, Alphas SV tw, Metanium, Steez A, and Tatula Sv tw 103. All are great for me. How much are Exprides, and St Croix Avids up there?

Daiwa Zillion 2021 from Amazon
I bought a Steez A II on Amazon 3.5 weeks ago for $269. The price dropped for one day, then went back up to $298. Just got lucky.

Slack Line
Never leave slack in my line when fishing t-rigs and jigs. When fishing the free rig I will do 3-4' pulls and let it fall on a completely slack line, but after the bait falls to the bottom, I reel in to see if a fish hit. If no hit occurs I repeat that move. That's the most slack I leave when bottom fishing.

NEW G Loomis GLX just dropped!
On the GLX? I've heard that some people find it uncomfortable, but I love it. Feels great with a few different reels. I use a Zillion g, Steez A, , Alphas, and metanium.

Neko rig
Neko in water 5-12' is a great presentation for me. I also like skipping it under docks. My longest every LMB 23.5"was a caught on a Neko under a dock in 3' of water. I usually like a little more depth though to get the action right.

NEW G Loomis GLX just dropped!
I have a bunch of Loomis stuff. I got most of them used (all GLX were used) or very discounted for my IMX-Pro. I don't think many people pay list for Loomis rods.

Do you switch hands when you cast a baitcaster?
I have all right handed reels, but I cast with both arms. So when I cast with my left arm no switch, when I cast with my right arm I do the switch.

NEW G Loomis GLX just dropped!
I have the last version 7’1” m and mh, both are amazing. Only way I’ll be getting a new one is if I break one of mine. Expensive

They are not boring looking, they are things of subtle, refined, touches of natural beauty.

Are Tubes Still a Thing?
T rigged, stupid tube, weightless, and of course with a standard tube jig head inside.

Suffix 832 Coastal Camo vs PowerPro SuperSlick v2 blue?
I use yellow, dark green, and the neon light green color lines. I don’t mind if they fade, I usually changes it out every three or four years depending on how much I use it.

Suffix 832 Coastal Camo vs PowerPro SuperSlick v2 blue?
I’ve used both. Never thought pp ss was worth the extra money. both are good lines. I still used 832 and think it’s great line regardless of the price.

Anyone have any experience with Trika and Edge Bass Rods?
This would be my recommendation too. If you need a slightly lighter rod than the 736c get the 735c Dobyns. Both are great.

NEW G Loomis GLX just dropped!
They added a bunch of new models to the line up.

NEW G Loomis GLX just dropped!
They look great. Other than the grips and the reel seat I'm not sure what has changed.

What Pound Test Braided Line For A Baitcaster And What Rod To Pair With It
I only fish braid to leader, I think you would be best served with 30lb braid to start. Sufix 832 and Daiwa J Braid grand are two great ones to check out. Both are smooth and have great line management.

Favorite spinnerbait rod recommendations
Very well. I go between the 843 and the 844. Yesterday I was throwing a 3/8oz chatter bait with a minnow trailer on an 843 and it was killer. I always have two-843, and one or two 844 every trip. I use them for what ever is needed. Jigs, t-rigs, spinnerbaits. chatterbaits, swimbaits w belly weighted hook, swim jigs, buzz baits, They are my favorite chatter bait rods. Unlike every other person in the world, I don't like moderate rods for chatterbaits.
