  1. I have never experienced them using Power Pro 8,10, and 15lb on spinning setups. These are the things I do when loading and casting. Load line from the bottom of the spool, fill to between 1/16 and 1/8", always close the bail by hand, use an FG knot to join leader to braid, make sure there isn't any loose line on your spool with a light tug after each cast, and also important not to cast too hard. Hope this helps out.

For me it would be the Cabela's Fisherman Series Go-To Swim Minnow. Best swimbait I've used. 5" I use a 5/0 Gamakatsu weighted EWG hook.
  3. I'd spring for a Tatula LT 3000 in the shallow spool version.
  4. I just picked up a Daiwa Tatula LT 3000 on ebay for $130 w/free shipping. Beautiful reel,
  5. Maybe you are overfilling your reel spool?
  6. Mine are super spook jr, 1/4oz jitterbug, rebel pop r, skitterprop, Rapala floating original and jointed minnows
  7. I’m another guy for the tatula LT 3000. But make sure to get the shallow spool version.
  8. I have 3 Dobyns Fury casting rods which I love. They are labeled as fast action but I feel like they are more like a moderate/fast action. I’m checking out the new Daiwa Tatula Rods with the cork grips. Anyone know if Daiwas idea of a fast is faster than Dobyns? I’m looking for a true fast MH rod 1/4-1oz 10-20lb line rating.
  9. Nice man. My PB smallie was 22” and weight was 5 3/4lbs. I’ve never seen one over 22”. congratulations!
  10. No way man......Lots of love over here. I have two 2000's and a 3000 shallow spool. I think they are fantastic. Super smooth, great casting, and a killer smooth drag system. I have one 2000 spooled with 6lb mono, one with 8lb braid, and the 3000 with 15lb braid and they all work without any issues and are fun to fish with.
  11. I like to fish 3/16, 1/4, and 5/16oz finesse jigs on spinning rods. I use a med action rods with 15lb braid to 12lb mono leader. It's super sensitive and has great feel. It's not a super heavy cover setup, but great around moderate cover. heavier jigs I use casting setups.
  12. My vote would be a Daiwa Tatula LT 3000 shallow spool version. I have four of them 2-2000, 1-2500 and 1-3000 size and all are incredible. They preform great with braided line and are super light weight and solid. My 2 cents.
  13. There is an excellent article about this subject with lots of different points of view. Google for 'braided line and leader debate' and look at the InFisherman article. I can't post the link here.
  14. The Daiwa Tatula LT reels are incredible. On par with Stradics, but with a different feel. If you look on ebay you can get them for $140.00.
  15. McCoy ultra clear copolymer is great line.
  16. I like the double titanium wire weed guard wacky jigheads. Very sharp
  17. Casting setups: 12lb-15lb mono or copolymer, and braid 30-40lb Spinning: 6lb mono, 8,10,15lb braid with mono or floro leader. I love 8lb power pro with an 6-8lb leader. I can cast far and it lasts 2 seasons. It's super sensitive too.
  18. Got a Lew's Tournament Pro G for $123.29 with the Ebay "pumped10" code at Sportsmansoutfitters. It's my favorite casting reel. I got one in May on Ebay with a 15% code for $114.00. The "pumped10" code is still active now.
  19. Sorry people can't read dude. I have excellent results with the 5" Cabelas stick worm and the Z-Man ZinkerZ. Both hold up great when using an "O" ring. The ZinkerZ take a minute to get the weight into tho. These two have a different enough action that it's worth trying both.
  20. Yes. As I said you need to use a backing.
  21. EGO S1 Genisis Nets for me. They last a really long time and don't damage the fish.
  22. Call it a day and get the Dobyns. Excellent rods. Not just for the low cost, but because of their actions and balance.
  23. FG always. Same with me regarding my leaders. When they get to be about 2’ I tie a new one on.
  24. Not bulk but a great price here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2Pcs-Green-Tungsten-Bullet-Flipping-Weight-Fishing-Sinker-Fishing-Accessory-TO/372282119828?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=641115581125&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
