Banning skin mounts
You posted that people around you don't obey the catch and release law, you think they'd obey the skin mount ban? It's not about adding new laws, it's about enforcing the laws that already exist. I'll list Chicago gun control as an example...........

Disappointed in the Curado DC
I bought the Curado DC, I liked it but not as much as my Tatula's. It didn't cast any better and the Tatula's seemed smoother. JMHO. I sold the DC and bought another Tatula.

Where to punch???
I have a new depth finder with mapping and side imaging. Two of the places I'm thinking of don't have any depth maps. I'll hit those spots early in my kayak and map them BEFORE it's impossible to get through. I know where the drop offs are but not so much the topography on the flats themselves. I've always just used frogs there, dropped t-rigs in the small openings, and ripped swim jigs through the weeds along the edges.

Where to punch???
Thanks, like I said, I fish a few places with vast weed flats. I'll commit to taking my time and picking it apart.

For those of you cold water kayak anglers - spring
The funny thing about me bringing all this is that even though I bring 4-5 3700 Plano boxes in the crate I always load a 3600 box with what I think I'll actually use and put that under my seat. 90% of the time I never reach behind me for anything else. It's just that one time I'll need something that keeps me loading that crate up! Plus I'd hate to be killing it with a specific colored crank or jig and then lose it without having a back up behind me.

Ha, you're killing me here! Care to expand?

Where to punch???
I fish a few lakes that have some large flats of weeds and have good success with a frog. This year I want to really learn punching. When using a frog on the flats it's easy to cover water since the frog covers area during the retrieve, my question with punching is, since you're casting to a specific spot and punching through the weed cover and then trying another spot to cast to how do you narrow down your targets? Next to small openings? Next to protruding cover such as stumps? Edges? All of the above??

I do the same thing. Everything in my crate can fit in my tackle bag for boat or shore. Although I tend to bring FEWER rods on a boat. In my kayak I bring six and am fighting the urge to bring 7 or 8 this year as I expand my techniques.

I have the following boxes...... 1..Cranks 2..Jigs 3..Jerk and swim baits,,,,,,,,this includes my underspins 4..Top water,,,,,,this has frogs, poppers, wakes, walking Worm binder has spinnerbaits and buzzbaits Two smaller boxes have all my plastics I would have to say that I bring all of it each time I go out, what may change from season to season as well as depending on where I'm going is the rods I take based on what lures/presentations I'm going to emphasize.

When do you Texas rig aa worm/senko?
Same here, Plus either a swim jig, bladed jig, or underspin.

Buyer beware
That's exactly right! My kids learned at a young age that if we were at a restaurant and my glass was empty the servers tip just plummeted.

Jig/worm casting rod under 350
I use the MegaBass Orochi XX for both bottom and swimming jigs, I also use it for t-rigs. So yes, I have three of them since I always have all three rigged and ready.

Buyer beware
Yes, like said above.......

What has helped you improve the most as an angler?
I see what you're saying but by time on the water I was referring to spending the time on the water as in going to the lab and putting theories and ideas to the test.........then filing the results away for future use.

Kayak fishing net
I have the Yak Attack net, I love it for landing fish but the shape of the handle does make it get in the way when not in use for me since I like to keep it on front of me where I can reach it easily. I now use a Kryptek S1 Gensis rubber coated net. I love it.

What has helped you improve the most as an angler?
1. The obvious time on the water 2. Learning new techniques 3. Trusting what I learned

Do You Keep a Fishing Log?
I used Anglr off and on last year but it frustrated me. Random lock ups were one thing but once I hit the water I want to fish, and more than a few times I'd go to start the app as I got on the water and it would day I needed to update.....well I'm too anxious to get started and don't want to waste time downloading the app after I'm already on the water. It would be nice if they sent and email advising of the update or let you run the app without downloading the updated version for a certain length of time.

Anyone video on their boat? What cameras?
I wear a GoPro on a hat mount about 75% of my fishing. I upload some video's to YouTube after some editing but I don't do intros or talk to the camera. More just for fun. That's probably why I only have 24 subscribers and around 900 views for about 20 videos! LOL I do have some cool slow motion close up action though.
