Only Allison WOW
Gambler are NICE also, I have only been in a Gambler once and it was an older model, they look as fast as an Allison standing still ;D. Not sure if one is better than the other, but Allison has a "race proven hull design", not sure about Gambler's hull.

Best priced Dobyn's Rod Retailer
Looking to get a Pitching rod was wondering where you Dobyn's fans buy your rods from, bought my last at *** during a blowout sale, but want to get some value if you know what I mean. I am interested in a Dobyns Champ Cast Rod 7'3" MH XF 735 or a Dobyns Champ Cast Rod 7'3" Hvy XF 736. Also, those of you with these rods what do you like better for pitching 3/8 to 1oz baits and occasional flipping in light stuff, I have a heavy flipping stick.

New boat for my Flotilla
Could not pass up on a like new Gheenoe, I am primarily going to use it during duck season for some small back water areas, but I will be trailering it to my favorite small waters. Ordered a custom trolling motor mount and can throw my 9.9 on it to make it fly in spit deep water. Came with a working live well, so maybe I will use it to carry shiners and greenies in while pursuing bass and inshore saltwater species. Now if I could only convince my wife that it was a smart idea especially after I customized my 14' jon boat and bought a trailer for ;D Adam, my son, is picture checking it out.

AMP Draw on Minn Kota Maxxum 74
Was this under load? Yes, tested in canal behind house, should have mentioned that. Boat was very lightly loaded and less than 1/4 tank. No weeds! Next time I am out and have to run through thick vegetation will measure AMP draw, I am sure it will be higher, just not sure how much.

Met the best bass fisherman on the planet today...
Can't wait to hear about Refuge insight, good luck in Flamingo!

Only Allison WOW
;D ;D Your gonna get something started ;D ;D No way, I love my Ranger, but it is not an Allison, those things are like the Ferraris of the bass boat world. I would like to own one or a Bullet Coastal Series with a center console, but my little 185vs lead sled Ranger Intracoastal suits me fine. Also, I don't think I could drive 80 MPH or more on a consistent basis, 60 MPH is just fine with me.

Bait Monkey Attack
Its basically a Team Daiwa Advantage Coastal Edition, not a Zillion. I have a JDM Zillion and love it though. Read the reviews on both the Coastal and HSTA and could not resist the deal. Can't wait to catch a Snook on it ;D

Bait Monkey Attack
I will just give me a month or two, I just bought it since I was running low on my Samurai Braid (IMO best braid out there hands down), but from the 1 outing where I was pretty much casting with my Dobyns and the New Daiwa Advantage Coastal I liked it, Justin, my fishing partner, also re-spooled his Skinny Dipper setup and liked it much more than PowerPro it replaced. I will wait though before passing judgment, but first impression is good.

Bait Monkey Attack
Went to my local Gander Mountain recently to see if any deals are to be had and found these 3 diamonds, all for about $275 out the door. Plan on using the Team Daiwa Advantage HSTA Left Hand as a pitching/flipping reel, the right hand as a replacement to my JDM Calcutta 100 (listing it on the flea market, sweet reel), and I already mounted the Daiwa Coastal on my Dobyns Swimbait rod, has about 10 or so Lake Okeechobee fish already! Also, bought a spool of the new Suffix 832 and have liked it so far.

Daiwa 50th anniversary Zillion
I'll give you $150 ;D, I think anywhere from $185-$225 is a fair price, right now there is one on Ebay that has a bid value of $188.00 and closes in 3 days, keep an eye on that one and offer it up in the flee market for 5-15% below that for a quick sale, its a really nice real.

What are the little things that bother you?
When I set-up on a fish with braid line and slack is created that comes back onto the rod and winds around the guides, really ticks me off! Also hate when the hook keeper on the rod somehow catches the line, I know the solution is to move it to the top positions, since I have never had an issue with them on top, but some of my rods have it on other side and it catches occasionally.

AMP Draw on Minn Kota Maxxum 74
Had one of my trolling motor batteries go bad and was wondering what the AMP draw on my Minn Kota Maxxum 74 Variable Speed (24 Volt) has, here is what I came up: Percent Power- AMP Draw 10%- 04.0 20%- 08.0 30%- 11.4 40%- 14.0 50%- 17.6 60%- 20.8 70%- 24.4 80%- 26.6 90%- 26.8 100%- 27.0 Hope this can help someone ;D

Good Deal on a Ranger?
Look up NADA values, as with any boat purchase test for compression, check hull thoroughly, and make sure the trailer is in good shape. I bought my 185vs Intracoastal for about 3.5K more than yours used, it was garage kept and motor had less than 50 hours, so I think you have a winner there.

Only Allison WOW
Would love to see how that LCD screen would hold up in the UP position while going down the lake at 90 MPH, like only an Allison can. Innovation has always been Allison's trademark, all others are followers

Remington Model 700 CNBC Documentary
Great video, glad I watched it, there is always two sides to every story. I knew that trigger adjustment might have played an issue, explaining my apprehension regarding the sniper barely touching the bolt to discharge it. Still doesn't answer the question directly about Walker's better design suggestion that wasn't implemented, but the credibility of the insider and the expert witness have been shot down in my book. Still love my Model 700 though ;D I also found out that the 40x trigger is different than that standard trigger, so I can leave it down at 2 1/2 lbs like I like it, it was designed to go down to 1-1/2lbs.

Remington Model 700 CNBC Documentary
Watched the CNBC documentary on the Model 700 and was a bit shocked to find out that the Model 700 has "known issues" with its trigger mechanism, by firing on bolt movement and safety movement. Although, I was a bit skeptical at the source of the reporting when the original engineer that designed the trigger mechanism stated that it was defective and could cause misfires, it sold me on the reporter's take. As an aside, I own a Model 700 XCR Compact Tactical with the 40x Trigger and was wondering if this mechanism is the same as those in the traditional 700 triggers and subject to misfires? Anyone know?

okeechobee bass fishing
Was out duck hunting about 2 weeks ago and turned right with a duck motor and guess what? I almost bottomed out, was during the last day of the Everstart event and I thought to myself I hope none of these bass boats cuts through here like they did in the summer. Back on topic: Shoot me a PM and I'll put you on some fish.

Peacock Bass Fishing
Palm Beach County doesn't an abundance of Peacocks at least not like it used to in all my Peacock Spots. Might want to try the Griffin Road Canal, just West of the Bass Pro Shops, prior to going over the turnpike. I have a killer spot in a residential neighborhood that I haven't tried since the Summer that I can direct you to or maybe even fish with you. PM me for details.

McAllen Texas (Cool Places?)
My brother is in McAllen, Texas working through the end of the month and I told him to visit some outdoor hunting/fishing shops in the area to see how you TEXANS do it, plus I can get him to pick me up something that I don't see here in S. Florida (Real reason). Anyway, if you don't mind can you send me the address or name of some cool outdoors shops near McAllen and/or some guides that take of from McAllen to fish Falcon or nearby lakes, since he has weekends off? Thanks, Robert
