  1. Got the Rage Menace and Rage Bug in the new Fire Craw colors. (I promise this isn't a paid advertisement for Omnia. )
  2. Big EZ rigged weightless (or on a very light-weight swimbait hook) thru pads produces some awesome strikes.
  3. I'm a fan of the X Zone Swammers. (btw, are they not a site sponsor anymore?)
  4. Ah, gotcha. I see now it's 3/8 oz, vs the 1/4 oz for the Pup.
  5. The Boyo seems a tad shorter than the Puppy, but a little fatter. What's supposed to be the biggest difference between those 2? The line tie on the Boyo seems to be a little higher up than on the Puppy as well?
  6. Swimming the Cut R Worm through thick weed patches has been DEADLY for me the last few weeks. Black and Blue or Black Blue Swirl with a pegged 3/16 oz. weight. Love this bait. Just so versatile and will come through the weeds better than any other bait out there. Usually just straight retrieving it but sometimes I'll kill it when I hit an opening in the weeds and let it fall. For whatever reason, that's when I've been getting the bigger bites. Tail thumps so hard, even a one-eyed pike can find it!
  7. You have to be careful with Discount Tackle. They jack the retail price up on stuff so it looks like you're getting a better deal than you are. For example, the KVD 1.5 retails for $6.49 at places like TW and Bass Pro Shop. At Discount Tackle, they list it for $6.99. So when they announce 20% off, that knocks it down to $5.59. With the 15% off at TW, it comes in at $5.51.
  8. Placed a decent sized order at TW last night. Already shipped today. Impressive. Tho it looks like only about 3/4 of my order shipped. Does that mean the rest will be coming from the other warehouse?
  9. I usually always recommend the D-Walker. Great trailer. My only wish is they started making them in more colors. They have no version of black/blue.
  10. I really like the Berkley Dredger. Smaller bodied baits for the depths that they run. It has a tighter wiggle than most other deep divers and less resistance than most others as well. The 14.5 in this HD color is killer. Done really well on smallies.
  11. Lots of good options out there. You can use craw trailers to mimic craws. And swimbait trailers to mimic baitfish. If you're looking for quality swim jigs, check out @Siebert Outdoors (site sponsor). I'm a big fan of all his jigs, but for swim jigs I like the Shot Caller. This is one paired with a Z-Man Goat (which he also carries on his site).
  12. Did you mistaken it for a tube of toothpaste or something?! ??
  13. I learned this the hard way the first time I used it on a hot, sunny day (while leaving it sit out on the deck of my boat). I opened the tube up, and as I was messing with my bait and hook, I had the tube in an upside-down position. I didn't think anything of it, since when I used it earlier in the morning, I had to squeeze pretty hard to get it to come out. Well, let me just say that most of that tube emptied out onto my carpet as if it was water and not gel.
  14. Mainly 16# and 20# Sniper. I'll throw finesse jigs on 14# Sniper. For those who use Tatsu, do you know if it has more stretch than Sniper?
  15. So I just got a new vehicle the other day, and the hitch on it is higher than my previous vehicle's. My previous vehicle was an SUV that had an aftermarket hitch installed, so it was lower to the ground resulting in me having to use a 1" rise ball mount. The trailer tongue was perfectly level. Now with this new SUV, I'll be needing a drop. So I got a 4" drop ball mount. But it isn't perfectly level. Now, I've read some places that say it can be high or low 1" either way and that's fine. Other places say if it's gonna be off, it is better if the tongue is raised as opposed to being lower, and other places say the opposite. In the past I've always been lucky with getting trailer tongues perfectly level. Do you guys think this is level enough? Would a 5" drop (do they even make 5") be better, or would that drop it too much? It is a single axle trailer, so it shouldn't be affected too much if it isn't level, right? Here's a few pics. The first pic is right behind the coupler. That's where it's measuring the tongue being a tad high. A little further back and the readings are different. Appreciate it!
  16. Hey TnRiver, are you measuring this guy or interrogating him? "Tell me...where you...hid the...BODIES!!!"
  17. Molting Craw does quite well for me.
  18. That is a beaut. I like the new Goby color as well.
  19. Ok, time to finally see what all the hype is about. If these things don't catch me a fish on every other cast, I'm not gonna lie, I might be a tad disappointed. Tho judging by the smell of these things, I may catch more cats and bullheads than bass!
  20. Very happy with these. Usually size 1, sometimes 1/0.
  21. Ok, so this isn't a new Gambler Bait. I added the "'Lil Stumpy" in there. So I was going to throw out (or repair) a few used Big EZ's that had been torn up near the head area. But then I wondered if I could salvage the back half of them. So what I did was cut the bait in half at the segmented area of the body. I trimmed the edges/corners so that the body would sit more flush against a swimbait head. I used an All Terrain Tackle Smallie Smasher Swimbait Head. Either a 1/0 or 2/0. It makes a nice short, stumpy profile. And even tho it's quite short, it still gives off a ton of kick/roll. On the fall, it has a cool spiral action to it. Judging by the sizes of the fish I caught on it on my first outing, I'm still determining it's effectiveness. Haha. I did manage a big crappie tho.
  22. Tackle Direct has Mango Magic in stock.
  23. Let's put it this way. I've yet to get my order in the mail and I already caught my PB on them.
  24. Appreciate it. Grabbed 4 packs. Have yet to try these to see what all the hype is about...
