  1. Is that the new Mister Twizzler?
  2. I always have a rod rigged up with a Texas rig/bead when fishing stained to dirty water. I feel that little clicking sound helps the fish hone in on the bait easier. In clear water, I never use one.
  3. A 3 pound bass would easily nail that bait. Obviously it isn't gonna be as productive as smaller offerings. But that's also the case in the south.
  4. I really, really, really love fishing. Maybe some day I'll find someone I love as much. Doubtful, tho.
  5. And this, my friends, is why I refuse to get married. I love the Dark Sleeper, especially on hard bottoms. I get caught in wood a LOT, tho.
  6. So if you pay the $13, they'll ship it out within 2 days?
  7. Yeah, the more pics I look at online (from Shimano even) it looks like it was designed that way.
  8. After seeing this thread I went to pull mine out of the box (haven't used it yet). Sure thing, same here. Seems odd to me that the gap is supposed to be there but maybe that's just how they designed these?
  9. I have a few Curado MGL's and Tatula SV's. Both great reels, but if I had to recommend one over the other for throwing lighter weights, I'd go Curado MGL.
  10. Always a good day when that happens. Congrats!
  11. I've heard all the hype about the new Strike King Hybrid Hunter. And I'm all for trying out new baits. They've been pretty hard to come by (tho admittingly I wasn't looking that hard), but I finally found one online about a month ago (3.5" version). I was out fishing last week and came up on an island that had a nice rocky point extending out from it. Up til then I had forgotten about the bait, but decided to throw it on to see what it's all about. 4th cast and a bass just killed it. Not like your typical crankbait bite. It was so aggressive I thought a muskie may have hit it. I went on to catch a few more on the bait in the next half hour before I had to leave. Made me a believer. Went home and ordered a few more in different colors and one in the 3" size. You know how that goes. This thing is kind of obnoxious and has a really wide wobble. Definitely a time and place for it.
  12. I've only had one crankbait expand and burst at the seams, but it can definitely happen. And I don't store my boat outside. 6th Sense was nice enough to replace it for me.
  13. Got a few packs of Adrenaline Craws recently. Very good baits. Definitely trying to 'mimic' the Zoom Z Craw. It is a taaaad shorter. I'll definitely be getting more. Also got a few packs of the Punisher Punch Craw. Nice compact bait for punching. Haven't tried these yet, but they look good.
  14. Hey guys, just a quick question. Thread title says it all. Do you know what size hooks are on these? I had one bend out pretty bad today on a big pike. What are you guys using as replacements? Appreciate it!
  15. What are you using the Kaiden 745 for?
  16. Either one of these two. I caught so many bass on them when I was little. I'm now in my mid-40's and I'd say it's been a good 30 years since I've even owned either one.
  17. Personally I like the larger flanges of the Z Craw as opposed to the junior. As far as length goes, you can always trim that down to your desired size.
  18. Omnia has 5 packs in stock. 20% off too with code MEMORIAL20. https://www.omniafishing.com/p/zoom-z-craw Super fast shipping too. Anytime I order from them they ship it the next day.
  19. Always on mono and copoly. For fluoro I use the San Diego Jam. Does the Trilene Knot hold with fluoro??
  20. Did somebody mention Siebert and Swammers?? I have my favorite trailers, but this spring I just really started using the Swammer and I really like them.
  21. Yup. I've experienced that as well.
  22. In my experience, TW is pretty bad at shipping out backordered products that you placed an order on.
  23. Berkley probably bought them and will continue to make the baits we've all come to love. Except they'll add their Max Scent and charge $10/pack.
  24. Are you able to get them in your hands to feel them? The 7'3" heavy/x-fast is labeled as a "full contact finesse", whatever that means.
