  1. In cooler water, especially early in the year, I like using the Zoom Big Salty Chunk. I trim some of the sides off (where I marked with the lines in this pic) to make it a little more streamlined. Then I thread it on instead of just rigging through the tip.
  2. I like the Rage Swimmer as well as Keitech's. Keitech's, IMO, have a little more action/kick to them. The Rage Swimmers are definitely more durable, tho. But Strike King needs to step their game up when it comes to colors. The Rage Swimmer comes in 11 colors. Keitech's come in over 50 colors!
  3. All the time. Pitching creatures around/under docks is super effective for me. And the Pit Boss is one of my favorites.
  4. I own around 35 jerkbaits. Megabass, 6th Sense, Lucky Craft, Jackall, Rapala, Strike King etc. And I can honestly say, I catch a LOT more bass on my Vision 110's. **Disclaimer** I also throw the 110 way more than the others, which could explain it. ?
  5. I fish 3/8 oz black & blue 75% of the time. I also fish a lot of stained water. Other times I'm fishing green pumpkin or natural craw colors.
  6. A pack of Senkos (10 pk) costs $7.50. That's .75 each. A 100 pack of o-rings off Amazon costs $7.30. That's around .14 each. Also, it's not like the o-rings can't be used for multiple baits. Now, if you're using Yum Dingers the difference isn't as great, but still..
  7. Nice fish, btw.
  8. I'm not sure that particular box will hold them (the dividers aren't removable). But you'll be able to find all kinds of different sizes in the craft section of Walmart and other craft stores.
  9. This is a nice, cheap option for terminal tackle as well as jigs. https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwintJSzwfrvAhUYi8gKHeMsBLoYABAHGgJxdQ&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAESP-D2GFPVD-47vUQ-yMYUUWtxFj9OgrAwNmTaMSVctwtFBZg-KvyoSygqJdlTBjRPCRKodVcpwPx6UJ_DRl-L_Q&sig=AOD64_2PXiNOfMP4S3hIuD-Lo5Kr82-P5A&ctype=46&q=&ved=2ahUKEwjkvYezwfrvAhW1ds0KHZ2EDMIQ9aACegQIARBR&adurl=https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwintJSzwfrvAhUYi8gKHeMsBLoYABAHGgJxdQ&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAESP-D2GFPVD-47vUQ-yMYUUWtxFj9OgrAwNmTaMSVctwtFBZg-KvyoSygqJdlTBjRPCRKodVcpwPx6UJ_DRl-L_Q&sig=AOD64_2PXiNOfMP4S3hIuD-Lo5Kr82-P5A&ctype=46&q=&ved=2ahUKEwjkvYezwfrvAhW1ds0KHZ2EDMIQ9aACegQIARBR&adurl=https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwj3wuX1wfrvAhUz8LUKHbCXDowYABAGGgJxbg&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAESP-D2xVVaWOay__1HIozmQNVGaOe7OS7U_jgIhl8mzpyvShTAznfF2lwAuSe3O5qHCINzE3Uerkvg9WG0satxnQ&sig=AOD64_16WvKwU2vyvs2ZXC8AqUSQglfLjw&ctype=46&q=&ved=2ahUKEwiBi9n1wfrvAhUBCs0KHaSrCCIQ9aACegQIARBH&adurl=https://www.walmart.com/ip/The-Beadery-18-Compartment-Box/911497026
  10. I'll tell you what I'd do. Cry. I'd cry. But after that, I'd pull it together and take it somewhere to get it fixed properly.
  11. I've been to the one in Delafield. They have one in MKE now? The one in Delafield does have a nice collection for being a small place. But even at it's size it puts a lot of the big chain stores to shame with the baits they carry.
  12. I have the 7'2" med-heavy. Initially I planned on throwing 3/8 oz jigs on it, but found it does better with soft plastics/Texas rigs. For me at least. So I think your idea of using the med-heavy for soft plastics/all-around and the heavy for jigs is a good call.
  13. Taste them both for yourself. Whichever one tastes worse will work the best on the fish. It's a scientific fact.
  14. Same here. The first time I cast the Rerange 130, I was like "nooooo". I thought it was either the rod or the line. ?
  15. In the past, Curados always had a longer handle than the Scorpion. That may be the case with the BFS versions? That'd explain the more weight. Shimano makes the Scorpion.
  16. They fit well in this box with spinnerbaits. Hang the spinnerbaits and buzzbaits so the blades hang in the middle. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Plano_Hydro_Flo_Hanging_Bait_Box_3505/descpage-P3505.html
  17. Good stuff, Glenn! Heck of a milestone! This is such a great place for nut jobs like me to be able to communicate with other nut jobs who share the same passion as I...bass fishing.
  18. Haven't pulled the trigger yet but definitely wanna get the MGL 70XG. What were you using before?
  19. First fish of the year is definitely special.
  20. FINALLY got on some open water today. 43 degree water. I wasn't really expecting much...was just happy to be out there. Only had a few hours to fish. Got a little guy on the very first cast! Was yo-yoing a blade bait in 20' of water. Managed 4 more over the next 1.5 hours. The 5 fish came on Damiki blade bait, Vision 110 and 13 Fishing lipless. Nothing big, but still a blast.
  21. ((*Disclaimer* I realize this isn't really worthy of it's own thread. But since it's promoting a site sponsor's product, I figured 'what the heck?')) You ever pair a jig up with the perfect-looking trailer and get that warm, fuzzy feeling inside? I mean, it just looks sooo good. Now, who knows if the bass are gonna like it, but to you it sure is purdy. That happened to me today. I opened up a Siebert's Shot Caller Swim Jig in Macoupin Craw color. I needed a trailer to match it with. The jig has some red, black and brownish/green pumpkin colors to it. So I decided to try out the Rage Menace in Falcon Lake Craw color. I bit off a few segments of the Menace to make it a little shorter. This combo looks like a match made in heaven. Should be a hot color (at least for us humans!) this spring. The top of the Rage Menace is a reddish color. The underside is green pumpkin.
