Featured Replies

Anyone that has been looking but couldn't find them recently Bass Pro Shop/Cabelas has green pumpkin and goby in stock. Those two colors have been tough to find lately. Happy shopping!

Thanks for the heads up, put my order in last night and hopefully they still had them in stock.

They are sold out again now. They went through 1000 of each color in about 36 hours.

What is the hype about these things, are they like some magic bullet lure that guarantee's you catch a giant?

The pros made them really popular especially drop shot fishing in the north.

Not giants for me, but lots of activity on a drop shot.  My big fish has been a 6 1/2 lb largemouth.

It has certainly become a "Magic Bait" for me this year.

I can’t buy a fish with that worm.  Bums me out.  I will drop it into the cup holder and thread on my usual suspect and POW.  Fish on. It is that vastly different for me.

I just wish these companies that can't keep up with their current baits and keep them on the shelves, wouldn't have brought out new stuff that they won't be able to keep on the shelves!

you all don’t find the worm material on the crumbly side?  I feel like if I rubbed a worm hard between my fingers it would fall apart in crumbs. When I thread on a hook it punches a big hole that doesn’t Heal up like most plastics.  You all find this to be the case?  Or are my worms from an aging batch.  I kinda just bought them early summer.

I have not experienced any of those issues.

I was in Meijer the other day and decided to check out their fishing section (which was a joke - mostly little work hooks and bobbers).

However, the only soft plastic worm they had was Maxscent Generals in green pumpkin. There was a bunch of them. I guess because no one ever really looks at Meijer for fishing stuff. lol

The flatworms are available on BPS/Cabelas again not many left. Probably some orders that got rejected for ordering to many. Get them fast!

Just bought 7 bags.  They have outproduced other dropshot baits since I have started using them.

Awesome! What colors are you finding produce the best?

Now it's back to buying them on eBay for anyone that didn't get them.

Anytime a pro wins a big tourney on a bait, it flies off the shelves.  Personally, I don't see it being any different from any other small, drop shot, worm style bait.  If you find a feeding school of smallies, they'll bite just about anything.  It probably seems like it's a magic bait because EVERYONE is buying, hoarding, and using them almost exclusively.  A bass can't bite what's not in the water;)

I am not saying it isn't. They have a huge following for sure. Just a very specific claim on the package. Personally I am a fan!
