That's one ugly fish!!!! How in the world was he able to eat?
  4. Have any of guy's used the Jackall Water Monitor? It's a sinking pencil bait and I figured it should work well in spring (pre-spawn). I was thinking of buying a couple but need some advice first. See the lure here: http://www.jackall.co.jp/lp016.html
  5. Most important: CAMERA
  6. Gamakatsu Wacky Head 212
  7. Megabass Limberlamber FLT Sillva Lucky Craft Amago Jackall Sride
  8. I would use spinning tackle for small lures. You get better casting distances and control over your light lures.
  9. Alot of the juvenile bass have spots like that. This one sure looks like LMB and don't think it is a Hybrid. I caught bass with no spots at all, almost a greenish silvery color. There also bass that are almost black (hence Black Bass). It has alot to with habitat (lake bottom material) and food sources like it is mentioned above.
  10. These are some older pics of me and my kids. The bass in the picture was real thin and blind in one eye! http://plat.co.jp/english/fish/Sarker/Sarker2.htm
  11. Here's another one to compare with: http://www.plat.co.jp/english/fish/Hugo_Herrera/Hugo.htm
  12. Imakatsu IK400R You get it here: www.ichibantackle.com
  13. The name sais it all! You have to jerk it. Jerk it and stop for a few seconds. Alot of bites come on the stop. Make longer stops in cold water.
  14. I believe the european record was allready caught in France if i'm not mistaking. (5+kg i think). I'll try to find out more.
  15. I would use them the same way as the flukes but that's just me.

I never used it but looks very nice! I belive this lure is from owner cultiva or am I wrong? Do you know where in europe you can get them? Can you also get silent models?
  17. If your brother in law catches them on crappie nibbles then use them.

I really hope you dont have to go back!!!!!
  19. I dont like any of the two! I use Power Pro in yellow or green.
  20. Cold weather does affect braid. I was fishing in the low thirtes and my braid actually froze making it stiff like wire. I had to switch to mono that day.
  21. Black seems to work good in gin clear water but usually on cloudy days.
  22. I dont think it makes any difference at all. The hooks are just part of the bait. Quality hooks have a bigger importance then red hooks. If a bass is going to strike, he will, red or no red hook!
  23. Yep, that's definately the same bass! That just shows how predictable these big fish are!
  24. Well done! I dont really like fishing in windy conditions but I find that bass bite really good in such conditions. (depending on the wind direction)

They have the wels catfish in europe and they grow huge. i'm talkin 6-7feet and 300lbs. plus. They catch them on live fish with heavy tackle. if you have some heavy tackle try to get a small carp and hook in the back then fish it of bottom with a heavy sinker. you might get a big one. if you do, post a picture.
