Very nice fish! 8-) I don't want to be rude but if you release your bass you shouldn't lay them in the dirt like that or hold them like you did in the 3rd. pic. Is that a Sebile minnow? Those nets are a shame! Were you able to remove them? Are the authorities doing anything about this illegal fishing?

Could be male bedding bass. I have seen alot males with sores on their lips from digging nests and it could be that the wounds get infected.

I forgot to mention, it's another japanese bait.

10" worms aren't really that big and I fish them with a 4/0 hook, t-rigged with a 1/8oz. bullet weight. Even small fish love 'em. These small bass where caught with a Reaction Innovations Big Unit 9.5.

I do this sometimes with craw papi's and other creature baits. I also use jigs without a weed guard, I find that the skirt is an added attractant.
