  1. Hope all goes well for you also.
  2. I've used Dobyns Sierra 703C & 704C, Dobyns sometimes have used/refurbished rods for around $100 shipped. I've purchased 3 of their refurbished Sierra rods, they were like brand new. I have a Falcon BuCoo SR that is also a nice rod choice.
  3. My wives hat when she was in back of the boat. I don't know why she never wants to go fishing with me anymore.
  4. 2 O-ring is better for wacky set up, your lure sits strait and your bait last longer. Usually size 1 or 2 depending on size of bait.
  5. I have a box of Lucky Crafts Jerkbaits, all of mine were 50% off when I purchased them. I like getting the deals.
  6. I really like the BuCoo SR models, I feel that they are one of best rods at their price point. They do have several models in the BuCoo SR models so you might look at the different spec/techniques. https://shop.falconrods.com/collections/falcon-bucoo-sr-series
  7. I usually use 6:3:1 but if fish want it faster like ripping a trap faster I'll just use my other rod/reel w/ 7:3:1.
  8. My spinning setup is Daiwa Fuego LT 2500 w/Daiwa Tatula 7'2" Shakey Head. $145.00 setup with rod & reel. This is my only spinning setup. You may be able to find some store brand rods for good prices also.
  9. I tried one of the Bass X rods, but I wasn't impressed with it. It is a very tip heavy rod, I ended up returning it. The Falcon Bucco Amistad would be a nice rod. I feel that the Falcon Rods spec's are a bit lighter than rated. There are the Powell Endurance rods on sale at Tackle Warehouse. Powell makes some nice rods.
  10. Probably less than $15.00, I sure wouldn't buy anything over $20.00. I don't feel there is any advantage of spending high dollar for lures. I can go fish with a $2-$6 lure/baits and catch 10-20 fish a majority time I go fish for a day.
  11. I have 5 of the Fuego CT reels, it is a good reel. It has a aluminum frame and can be found for $65-80. I've been really happy with mine.
  12. The free Strike King crankbait that someone lost.?
  13. I've never done this before, so I'll see how terrible I do.?
  14. I have a power inverter & a short extention cord that I keep in my vehicle that I will use if I'm in a isolated area with no electricity. I run my vehicle and hook up the inverter to my vehicle battery and connect to my on-board boat charger. Obviously you'll use a little gas but it works for fairly cheap. Depends on you boat/battery situation, I can run my trolling motor in my boat for a few days of fishing. But a generator would be another nice piece of equipment to have for camping/fishing trips.
  15. Bomber Square A Bandit 100,200 Rat-L-Trap, Cotton Cordell Super Spot I've also been using these KDS 1.5 RC square bill cranks that have a good choice of colors. They have them on sale for only $3.49 https://www.fishkds.com/apps/webstore/products/category/917360?page=1
  16. This will be a never ending debate no matter what reel company anyone prefers. I've used both, my reel lineup are Daiwa. I don't care what people use, if they are out fishing and enjoying what they are doing is the most important part.
  17. I just use rubber bands, basically free. I just save them from mail/packaging. I just keep a few in my terminal tackle box. The skirt material may give a little different look to the fish though also another idea.
  18. Grease- Cal's universal reel/drag grease, Shimano Reel Grease Oil- TSI-321,Shimano,Daiwa
  19. Sorry about that, yeah I see the glass model designation.

  21. I'd try one if I didn't already have 6 rods in the boat. They have recently come out the the pro models of the Lancer & Invoker also. Tackle Warehouse does have the original models on sale/clearance right now. Good time to score a good discount.?
  22. Many of my rods were on sale. Several of my refurbished/used Dobyns Sierra models were direct from Dobyns for $100.00 shipped to my door. All of the used Dobyns rods I have purchased were in excellent condition and you couldn't even tell the weren't new. You have a lot of brands/models to choose from under $150.00. You could even possibly put a nice combo together under $150.00 if you find good sales. Tackle Warehouse does have some sales on the Ark Rods & Powell rods that would be nice rods also. I have used all of these models listed below, these rods can be found anywhere from $80-125.00 Dobyns Sierra/Fury Falcon BuCoo Daiwa Tatula
  23. I've always been a Daiwa & Shimano user so I don't think you can go wrong with either. Check out which fits your hands the best and feels best for you.
  24. I prefer tried and true brands that have been in business many years and have good warranty.
  25. I would do a full service on the reel, disassemble, flush the bearing. Lubricate/grease the reel and see if that helps.
