  3. About ten years ago my friend calls and tells me there's a hot bite on Clarks Hill so I better head over.I shut down my remodel job and run home and get the boat and I'm off and running. It happens to be Friday the 13th. I get to the ramp, launch and rush up river to my hole and I forgot to put the plug in. haul butt back to ramp and drain all the water, put the plug back in,sit there a minute shaking my head then head back up river. Then I start loading the boat catching bass like all get out and my brother calls says he needs my help back at the ramp putting in this new pontoon he's bought. I swear, run back to help him launch. The wench hook gets caught up and I reach in to free it and he zigs and I zag, somehow the boat drops down on my hand and slices half my index finger into. Park Ranger rides by and calls paramedics and they take me to hospital in Augusta. They said they might have to amputate my finger and I said wait just a minute now. I was lucky I got a good saw bones that was able to save it and didn't have to cut it off. It don't pay to get in a hurry does it?

  9. New to the board but started bass fishing behind my house in the creeks at 6 years old. new to computers too so bear with me.Spend most of my spare time on the water these days so it's good to talk fishing with y'all on BR. Fish mainly the GA. Big lakes and occasionally Guntersville and Pickwick when I hit the road.Love the camaraderie of the bass fishing world. see ya around
  10. No wind and 95. I'm going to the house.
  11. Definitely got to have one tied on when you fish the Savannah or Chattahoochee rivers. You can get well real quick on a slow day.
  12. I'm in the Berkely Big Game camp.Have had too many break offs with fc in tournaments to suit me and have overall better success with BG.I still like that 10 pound Sufix braid with a leader on spinning tackle.I fish plenty of clear water as well and I spend more time fishing with the BG instead of bickering with the fc.Whatever floats the boat I guess.
  13. Bass fishing is just plain fun period..
  14. Bass fishing is a privilege for me so I try to make the best out of it each time I head out on the water.Everyday fishing is fun for me but I enjoy our state and local tournaments too.I respect the sport and the anglers who call it fun wether they're fishing in a boat or dropping a line off a bridge.Time to respool,Semper fi

Gps map is hung on map of the U.S. This is my second one, first one had a bad power switch, but the gps showed the correct map of every big lake I fished in GA. this year automatically when I launched at each lake. The manual doesn't say anything how to punch it in.Anyone have the answer before I contact Lowrance?
