  1. Could you use zig zag cleats instead? Those seem a little harder to snag your scrotum on.
  2. Hello. I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong section. I have a question about battery usage for action cameras. I was wondering, how many mAh of capacitance I should need to run an action camera filming 1080p at 30fps with WiFi enabled over a 10hr span? I'm looking to purchase Waspcam 9905 and power it remotely with a USB battery pack. I've never used an action camera, so I have no clue how many mAh I should be looking at... I don't want to go too overboard and spend more than I should. Thanks in advance for your help.
  3. Yeah, it's my first round baitcaster. I didn't get too much time to play with it yet. I got a little too crazy on my first outing and had a wicked backlash within the first 5 mins. It seemed smooth and easy to cast though, I was just being a dummy. The only thing I didn't like is the drag. It seemed like you really have to crank it to lock it down. I'm going to send it to DVT in a few weeks though and have it super tuned, so that area should be resolved with that service.
  4. Watch the eBay auctions. I managed to pick up a Cardiff 301 brand new, still in the box for $75 shipped on there.
  5. Amazon deal of the day up to 30% off select fishing and boating gear. There's a few okuma avenger abf spinning reels, raymarine dragonfly pro 7 with us navionics $363.85, frabill 9510 landing net $47.29, boaters edge cleaners/protectants, a bunch of tackle boxes and tackle kits. Along with a few other odds and ends.
  6. I tried that as well. I think I'm just going to order some size 1 and 2 trebles to go along with size 4 and 5 rings. Thanks for the help though.
  7. I tried looking there... I'm not seeing it on either the mobile or the full site for any of the baits I listed. Where in the description are you seeing it?
  8. -BPS tourny series 10" motor oil/chartreuse ribbon tail worm -booyah single Colorado blade chartreuse and white spinner with pearl menace grub trailer -rebel crickhopper popper yellow and black -seibert dredge jig black and blue with junebug rage craw trailer -arbogast buzz plug perch
  9. Do you all think size 2 st-41's with size 4 hyper wire rings would replace the majority of them?
  10. Hello, I'm putting together a TW order and one thing I'd like to get is replacement treble hooks for the following baits.. - 6" BD Shad - BBZ Rat 50 - S Waver 168 - Gantarel - 6" Magdraft I don't have these baits yet... they'll be included in the order. I don't want to add something too heavy or light and mess up the action of the bait, so I was wondering if anyone knew the size of some of the hooks that come with these from the factory? Also, what size split rings? Thanks in advance.
  11. That's just crazy talk... Do you really think multiple fish will hit the same bait more than once? They talk you know.
  12. I think you already eluded to it, you need to fish a jig. You're seriously missing out if you're incapable of imitating a crawfish. I'd recommend checking out seibert outdoors, they have high quality and affordable jigs. I'd send Mike an email, tell him where you're located, order a dredge jig pack or two and let him pick the colors. I would also recommend considering picking up some of the following... -Fogy's -Strike king menace grubs and/or rage craws (for jig/fogy trailers) -morel jig heads (these are cheap... if you're on this forum and if you Google "ned rig" you'll at least want to try these out).
  13. Booyah Pad Crasher
  14. You should be ashamed of yourself for asking such a question!
  15. Just curious, why haven't you targeted heavy cover up until this point? It sounds like you are leaning that direction for this next purchase... something to buck the trend.
  16. If I were you I'd definitely be checking dobyns website for a refurbished fr735c. You can save yourself a few bucks going that route. http://dobynsrods.com/store/#!/Refurbished-Fury-Series/c/22555050/offset=0&sort=normal As for a reel... A Tatula CT? I say that with a "?" because I see that one on sale quite a bit and recommended here as well. I've never used one myself. This reel also puts you slightly out of budget.
  17. Hello Mr. Punch Rig(s), meet Mr. Wallet.
  18. I have the same one that I use out of my kayak. If you don't always have someone to man the net the leverage net is a must have.
  19. I've recently gotten back into fishing, so I honestly can not testify to durability. I have 3 Shimano curado 70 series that I adore though. They cast a mile and are smooth as silk. What kind of fishing are you doing and what baits are you throwing that is beating your gear to death?
  20. Both are good. You could probably toss a coin and be happy with either one. What application do you intend on using the rod for? Sometimes that helps narrow things down. Also, if you have the ability to hold either one, that might help you decide as well.
  21. Hello. I've kind of been looking around at a swimbait which isn't too horribly expensive that does a good job of matching the profile of a Gizzard Shad/Alewife. I've kind of narrowed my choices down to two baits... Suicide Glide and Bull Shad. I'm leaning towards the 7" size in both baits because it's about all my set-up will allow. I was wondering if anyone had experience with both of these baits and what they prefer. How do their actions vary?
  22. Hello. I recently purchased this lure. I'm anxious to try it out, but I haven't gotten the chance yet. I'm curious about the lower line tie and the eyelet on the tail fin. I read you can attach a weight to the lower line tie to increase the fall rate and you can attach a spinner blade to the tail fin to give it a little flash. I was wondering if anyone has gotten the chance to play around with these? What are you using on it and what are your thoughts? Thanks
  23. I would ask the diehard flashlight guys on candlepowerforums.com, they'll hook you up with something great. If you don't have a charger for 18650's or cr123's you'll probably want a light that runs off a common battery size, like AA or AAA. Actually, after looking around for a bit a zebralight h53 would probably suit you very well. I'd still recommend asking the CPF guys though. Zebralight H53Fc AA Headlamp Floody Neutral White High CRI https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073DP8P17/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_z6KaAbFKK1PGE They have a red LED version as well.
  24. This in MH power... http://www.cabelas.com/product/DOBYNS-CHAMPION-SWIMBAIT-CASTING-RODS/2365945.uts?slotId=0 And 300 size of this... http://www.cabelas.com/product/Shimano-Cardiff-Casting-Reel/739030.uts?slotId=0 Use the leftovers and get a couple swimbaits.
