Unknown fish!
Fastbasser, here in the Mid-South our goggle eye might have a body shape like that (maybe thicker) but the mouth is a lot larger. Color is a lot more brown and they have these turquoise lines radiating from their mouth. Pretty fish and put on a great fight... skillet

What rod would load load better and cast farther?
Sure be the first to admit that there is a whole lot I could learn about rods :-[. Having said that, it would sure seem that 2 rods from same company, the mod. would load better than a mod. fast :-/... skillet

I saw a SALTWATER CROCODILE in the indian river today!!! (while wade fishing!)
We visited my daughter in Cocoa when our grandson was born. I went wade fishing at the warm water outlet of the power plant there . I thought it was GREAT! I might rethink that idea next time ... skillet BTW mrlitetackle, I'll give you a holler next time ...

Strong Weedless Hooks
I just about have to have a weedless application! Let us know if you find salt water leader material and how it works. Places that sell salt water gear in the Mid-South are far and few (I wonder why that is?) ;D... skillet

Fouling line #2
I was reading Gomer Pyle's post and didn't want to hi-jack, so... I recently started using lipless cranks (Strike King) and have this problem when yo-yoing while retrieving them. I am using the rod tip to pick them up and fall, not cranking on fall. Don't know if this is the problem or what.. skillet BTW don't think type or size of line would make a difference but 12# orig.
