  3. Man, talking about a post being timely ! Went fishing at a small lake this morning and landed a REALLY NICE bass (Won't go into size, we all know what liars anglers are ) Annnyyyyway, when I tied the hook on this morning, I think the end line guide was OK. Removing hook, noticed the ceramic guide was gone :'(. When you are talking about heating the tip and glue, are you talking butane lighter??? skillet

  11. It happens! I was at a small lake I fish sometimes, caught a fish weighing 7lb 14oz on a green pumpkin Brush Hog. I weighed her and turned her back. One week later, fishing green pumpkin Brush Hog, about 30 ft from the first time caught same fish. She had gained only an oz for 7lb 15oz (PB). She had to be the same fish. The hole for the scale was in the same place, I know. Turned her back. Since then have changed out the hook on the scale for a LARGE salt water hook (filed barb off) so as not to make such a hole... skillet BTW since then read on here about going right at bottom of gill plate where it connects to the body...
  12. One of the lakes I fish is REALLY clear (especially for the Mid-South). Have used baby bass and green pumpkin with equal success. Tried some pink (I mean bubblegum) trick worms fished weightless on top. Did real well. Wondered how flukes would do in that color :-/... skillet

  19. This is not really an add-on to RW's reply. Any time you're loading line on a spinning reel, after a layer or so of line, drop the tip of your rod down to the spool. If the line starts curling up, TURN the spool over ... skillet
