Strong Weedless Hooks
Dan, I went to Lowe's today and they had packs in an assortment and they had packs that just contained 1/8"-1/2". If you don't have Lowe's, Home Depot carries pretty much the same things. Hope this helps... skillet

Sensitive line
Used orig. Stren for a bunch of years so when I switched to YZUS it was like someone turned the light on as far as stretch and sensitivity goes. Lots of folks swear by braid, haven't tried it yet myself. IMHO no line is perfect for all situations. Don't have rigs set up for all techniques, YZUS is the one that works best for me. Sure said a lot to not answer your question ... skillet

Short Butt Jerkbait Rods
Used shorter rods with pistol grips for so long that I'm still trying to get used to the longer grips :-[! Maybe I don't fish lakes the size of some folks but distance was never a problem. With my height (6'4") I can get by with a 6' rod for jerkbaits but I still use a 5'6" pistol grip for topwater and I REALLY get upset at losing lures accuracy is not a problem ...
